Now that we’ve talked about what we read and bought in June, it’s time for another looking back at our bookhauls post. What did we get in June 2025? Have we read what we bought? Let’s find out!
Candyce
In June 2025 I added 9 books to my shelves. That’s not many, so let’s see how I did!

Till Summer Do Us Part – Meghan Quinn
Read
Meghan Quinn proved to me again why I love her books so much with Till Summer Do Us Part! This book was funny, emotional, and just the right amount of spicy. If you’re looking for a summer romance, I highly recommend this one.

The Floating World – Axie Oh
Unread
I’ve actually had this on a few TBRs, but I haven’t sat down with The Floating World yet. Since it released, I haven’t heard many people talk about this book, but I’m still very curious.

The Knight and the Moth – Rachel Gillig
Read
Like I said in last month’s Looking Back at Our Bookhauls, I have read The Knight and the Moth. It was an interesting story and Gargoyle was my favorite character! The sequel releases in a couple of months and I am curious to see how the story will continue.

Broken Souls and Bones – LJ Andrews
Unread
A year later and I still think this edition of Broken Souls and Bones is truly stunning. I haven’t read it yet though. I want to say I heard that you need to read another series before this one? So I think I need to figure that out before sitting down with Broken Souls and Bones.

Heathen & Honeysuckle – Sarah A. Bailey
Unread
I know own this whole series with pretty sprayed edges. The second generation series also just started and the first book is out in the world. Heathen & Honeysuckle is a second chance romance and I have a feeling I’ll love every minute of it.

Woven by Gold & Forged by Malice – Elizabeth Helen
Read
Last summer I devoured all of the books that were out in this series. I had such a great time and Woven by Gold is almost 600 pages and Forged by Malice is almost 700 pages and it didn’t feel like that at all. The next book just recently released and we’re getting another one at the end of this month. So I’ll be binging them soon.

Cash – Jessica Peterson
Read
When I bought this, I had already read the self-published, but I really wanted this pretty edition. Cash was such a good romance and I still need to read the rest of this series. I now have all of them.

Tusk Love – Thea Guanzon
Read
Tusk Love is a book I recently read and I had so much fun. I’m not normally a monster romance reader, but this book just worked. Both of the characters were likable and I just really wanted them to have a happily ever after.
End Result
Read: 6/9 – 66.7%
TBR: 3/9 – 33.3%

June 2025 was another one of those months were I only spend an Audible credit on a book and nothing else. So this is a quick and easy looking back post for me. Let’s take a look!

Bury Our Bones In the Midnight Soil – V.E. Schwab
Read
I love V.E. Schwab and I try and read her books as soon as possible after they are released. This is the kind of book I would want to read regardless and I’m really happy I did! I don’t think it’s a book that everyone will love, but I certainly did. These are complex female characters and you don’t need to love them, but I did understand them and I loved reading about them!
End Result
Read: 1/1 – 100%
TBR: 0/1 – 0%
So that’s another looking back at our bookhauls post! Have you read any of these? Or have you read any of your own backlist books recently that you think everyone should read? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
