TTT #428 | Books I Want to Read by New to Me Authors

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books I Want to Read by New to Me Authors. I really like this topic and I can’t wait to dive into this list! It’s always exciting discovering new authors you like and there are a ton I hope I will love. So let’s jump in!

1. Starside – Alex Aster

I recently got this book as an ebook and it might be my first Alex Aster. There have been a lot of readers raving about her books on the internet and I am very curious. I think Starside might be the book for me, but I might also be interested in her other books.

2. An Arcane Inheritance – Kamilah Cole

I have added at least 3 books on Goodreads by Kamilah Cole that I would like to read. This was just the one I went with for this list, but overall I just want to read something by this author haha. What I do like about this one is that it is marketed as for fans of A Deadly Education, which is one of my favourite books!

3. Deep End – Ali Hazelwood

I still haven’t jumped on the Ali Hazelwood bandwagon, but I would like to! Especially with the The Love Hypothesis movie coming up. Deep End sounds like a book I might enjoy and I think it could be a good starting point for me.

4. Invictus – Ryan Graudin

I have multiple Ryan Graudin books I want to read badly and I have been saying so for years. Whether it’s Invictus or Wolf by Wolf or one of the newer releases, I am very much interested in reading something by Ryan Graudin. At this point I am scared that I might be disappointed though haha.

5. Book Lovers – Emily Henry

Now that I am reading some more romance stories, it feels like I should finally read an Emily Henry book. I really liked the People We Meet on Vacation movie and a couple of her books sound like I might enjoy them. Everyone seems to love these books so I have high expectations.

6. The Final Strife – Saara El-Arifi

I have multiple Saara El-Arifi books on my want to read list and I even have an eARC for this one. Saara El-Arifi has written some amazing sounding books and I’m so excited to try her work. I can’t wait to dive into these awesome fantasies.

7. Immortal Longings – Chloe Gong

Can you believe I still haven’t read a Chloe Gong book? Everyone has been raving about her books for years now and I have a couple of eARC’s, but I never actually picked one up unfortunately. I have pretty high hopes for these books, they sound like I will enjoy them a lot.

8. Gwen & Art Are Not in Love – Lex Croucher

I’m really excited for this historical queer rom-com and I think I will love it! Lex Croucher might become an author I would be wanting to read more from right away if this book is as entertaining as I think it will be!

9. The Will of the Many – James Islington

James Islington has written 2 fantasy series I can’t wait to read. They both sound amazing and I have heard so many good things about especially this book! I am always looking for a great fantasy series to dive in and these might just be it.

10. Strange Grace – Tessa Gratton

I have been planning on reading a Tessa Gratton book for years and I have owned Strange Grace for quite a while now. Her books sound wonderful and magical and maybe a little weird, but I think I will love them!

These are 10 books, but mostly 10 authors, I would love to try! Hopefully there are some instant new favorite authors on this list! Have you read anything by any of these authors? Let me know down below!
