WWW Wednesday #115

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Before I Forget – Tory Henwood Hoen

Sometimes I enjoy an emotional story and Before I Forget definitely gave me that. I haven’t lost a loved one that was close to me to Alzheimer’s Disease, but to other things that also affected their memories. It’s truly heartbreaking seeing someone change and lose parts of themselves. Before I Forget is a beautiful story of Cricket spending time with her father who is affected by this disease. Spending time together and letting him do the things he wants. For me the magical realism went just a bit too far to feel fitting to the story, but other than that it was beautiful

Bromantasy – Máire Roche

If you’re looking for a cozy fantasy that feels like a hug and makes you laugh out loud, definitely pick up Bromantasy. I had such a great time with this story. Don’t expect an epic fantasy story, but just expect a good time.

What are you currently reading?

Into the Fading Twilight – Catherine Cowles

After loving Across the Vanishing Sky, I knew Into the Fading Twilight would be amazing and maybe even better than the first book. Nova and Kol are such special characters and no one knows how to write a family like Catherine Cowles does. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle – Alissa DeRogatis

I’m currently reading an eARC of How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle and having a great time. Our main character is a romance author who is going through a breakup and because of that she’s not so sure about love anymore. That definitely makes it difficult to write a new story. So she’s trying different things that could be possible meet cutes to see if she can find love. I have a feeling it’s closer than she realizes though. I’m excited to see how the rest of the story will continue.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Final Score – Lana Ferguson

In this hockey romance, it seems that both of our main characters aren’t have the best of times. She’ll be moving into his spare bedroom and that will definitely make things interesting. Brother’s best friend is a fun romance trope, so I’m expecting to have a great time.

The Unicorn Hunters – Katherine Arden

The Unicorn Hunters was one of last month’s Fairyloot books and one I’m not completely sure about. Historical fantasy isn’t something I read often, but a concealed marriage and an enchanted forest could be something I love. So I want to give it a try before deciding if I’ll be keeping this book or not.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
