When I am excited about certain books, some of them feel like they have to be five star reads. My predictions aren’t always correct and that’s unfortunate, but I still end up finding some amazing books. So here are some more five star predictions for books I’m hoping to read soon! Let’s take a look.

Rites of the Starling – Devney Perry
Shield of Sparrows ended up being such a pleasant surprise last year. While I did have a hunch early on about one of the twists, I had an amazing time with this story. Rites of the Starling is book two and releases next week. I’ll definitely be reading that one right away. I have high hopes for this book.

Tropesick – Lauren Okie
So Tropesick doesn’t releases until June, but I was recently approved for an eARC and this sounds right up my alley. Two childhood neighbors unexpectedly reunite to ghostwrite a love story. As they do, classic romance tropes start playing out in real life. I don’t think I’ve ever read a story like this and I’m very excited.

The MASH Up – Laura Marie Meyers
The MASH Up is another eARC that I have that doesn’t release until July. I remember doing the M.A.S.H. games in middle school (don’t ask me how to do one now, haha), and I love the idea of waking up in one of these games and having to find a way out. This is a book I shouldn’t be reading yet, but it just sounds so good!

Power Play – Chelsea Curto
Face Off was one of my favorite books in 2025 and I really don’t know why I haven’t continued the series yet. I love that this book has a fake marriage with benefits. It’s going to be fun watching them develop feelings for each other.
So here are four books I’m expecting to end up being five star reads! I hope I’m right, because finding five star reads is one of my favorite things about reading. What are some of your five star predictions? Or have you had any five star reads recently? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
