TTT #415| Romances to Read Really Soon

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Love/Valentine’s Freebie. Romance is one of my most read genres and that’s fitting for Valentine’s Day. So here are ten romances on my TBR to read really soon. Let’s take a look!

Just for the Cameras – Meghan Quinn

If Meghan Quinn writes it, I’ll read it! Just for the Cameras is a book that released last week. I’m still waiting for my pre-order to be delivered, but I can always read it on KU if it takes too long, haha. I honestly don’t know too much about Just for the Cameras, but I know it has fake dating! One of my favorite tropes.

Fundamentals of Being a Good Girl – Julie Murphy & Sierra Simone

This author duo wrote a Christmas romance series that I loved, so I was so excited to see that they’d be writing more together. Fundamentals of Being a Good Girl has a single dad professor and a law school grad turned nanny. I know this is going to be a spicy read! Fun fact: my fiancé is currently reading this. It’s shocking that he’s reading a romance!

Power Play – Chelsea Curto

Face Off is a hockey romance I’ve been thinking about since I read it last year. I’m determined to read all of Chelsea’s backlist in 2026! Power Play is the next book in the D.C. Stars series. This book has a fake marriage with benefits, spicy lessons, and much more.

Play with Me – Becka Mack

I think I’m in my hockey romance era, haha. Consider Me was the first book in this series and I couldn’t put it down when I read it in September 2023. I really don’t know why I haven’t continued with this series. Play with Me is a team captain’s sister romance. This is also a touch of forced proximity? They end up being neighbors. Sign me up!

The Right Move – Liz Tomforde

A lot of people seem to really dislike Mile High, but I had a great time with the first book in the Windy City series. The Right Move is a basketball romance and we met both characters in the first book. Sister’s best friend, forced proximity, and fake dating? The Right Move checks all the boxes of things I love in romances.

Wild Card – Elsie Silver

As a big fan of the Rose Hill series, I’m shocked that I haven’t read Wild Card yet. I read every one of these books right after it released except for this one. This is an ex-boyfriend’s dad romance. I haven’t read many of those, but we have met the characters in previous books. So I’m curious to see what I think of this one.

Wyatt – Jessica Peterson

Cash was an amazing cowboy romance and how it ended made me want to have Wyatt in my hands right away. We had to wait for it to release, but for some reason I still haven’t picked it up. This tends to happen to me a lot, but I’m trying to be better. Wyatt is also another romance that checks off all of the boxes of things I love in romances: fake dating, friends to lovers, and lessons-in-seduction. I have a feeling this is going to be quite the ride.

Training the Heart – Paisley Hope

Training the Heart is a grumpy/sunshine cowboy romance. That trope works so well with these kind of romances. We met Wade and Ivy in the first Silver Pines Ranch book and they definitely already had some tension going on. So I’m excited to see where it goes.

Broken Harbor – Catherine Cowles

Broken Harbor is hockey romance and a romantic suspense? Yes, please! Catherine Cowles has such a way with words that I can never put one of her books down once I start it. She really makes you invested in her characters and I have a feeling that won’t be any different with Cope and Sutton. I’ve waited way too long to continue with Sparrow Falls and after reading Delicate Escape, I know I need to sit down and binge these books.

Collide – Bal Khabra

Ever since Collide released, I’ve been intrigued. Except now, I actually read the synopsis for the first time. I don’t think I realized that this sports romance was going to be between a student wanting to be a sport psychologist and a hockey player who has to be a subject in a student research project. I have a feeling Collide is going to have a lot of banter!

So here are ten romances I need and want to read really soon! As you can see a lot of them are books in a series, cowboy romances, and sport romances, haha. I seem to be in a certain era in my reading journey. Have you read any of these? Or any recommendations in these categories I need to know about? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
