WWW Wednesday #104

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Playing with Forever – Rebecca Jenshak

I’ve read adult romances by Rebecca Jenshak and decided that I wanted to read this new YA release. Playing with Forever was an interesting one filled with following your dreams, family, the pressures of high school, and love. The friends were amazing in this story. Lacey and Vaughn aren’t very friendly, but when she starts tutoring him, they get close. Their story was heartwarming and emotional at times.

Rules for Fake Girlfriends – Raegan Revord

Raegan Revord is an actress I’ve seen on Young Sheldon and I was curious about her debut. I love fake dating, so I had to give it a try. Rules for Fake Girlfriends is heartwarming, emotional, adventurous, and I had a great time. There were a few things that became a bit repetitive and I wanted a few things to be developed a bit more, but all in all, I had a great time.

What are you currently reading?

Scythe – Neal Shusterman

Scythe is a book I read in 2018 and enjoyed. I never continued the series, but I really wanted to. This month it’s the book my book club is reading for the month, so I can have a bit of a refresher before continuing with book two. I remember a lot of things, but some details definitely slipped my mind. I’m excited to finally read more of this world.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Superfan – Jenny Tinghui Zhang

I was a big fan of boy bands, so Superfan caught my eye. This sounds like a book that’s going to really take a look at the darker sides of being a celebrity and even fandoms. I’m hoping that I love this one.

Glint – Raven Kennedy

Just like with Scythe, I read Gild a few years ago and never continued the series. Which is actually something I should’ve done, haha. I enjoyed the first book, but seem to get distracted by other books. So I did a reread of Gild last week and this week I’m finally going to read Glint!

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
