WWW Wednesday #84

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Bridesmaid for Hire – Meghan Quinn

I’ve been wanting to catch up with Meghan Quinn’s backlist, and I finally read Bridesmaid for Hire. It reminded me why I love this author so much. Brody and Maggie were such fun characters and the sibling’s best friend trope together with fake dating really worked for me. I laughed out loud while reading Bridesmaid for Hire. This book was the perfect balance of humor, heartwarming, and spicy.

Roll for Love – M.K. England

When I see a book has Dungeons and Dragons incorporated somehow, I have to get that book. Roll for Love is about Ollie and Harper (and their group of friends). Both of our characters are trying to think about their future and who they are. This book deals with all of that as well as how the world/politics is for queer people at the moment. Roll for Love was heartwarming, funny, and even sad at times. I’m glad I read an eARC of this one.

What are you currently reading?

A Thousand Boy Kisses – Tillie Cole

I read A Thousand Boy Kisses for the first time in 2016. When the sequel released last year, I decided that I should reread this first, and I finally am. I have to say I remembered quite a bit of this book, but not the little details. A Thousand Boy Kisses is just as heartbreaking the second time around.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Bridesmaid Undercover – Meghan Quinn

After reading Bridesmaid for Hire last week, I can’t help but pick up the next book in the sequel. Everly and Hardy are two characters we’ve met in the first book. Hardy wants Everly to help him get his ex back, but that may be a problem when she’s in love with him. I have a feeling this is going to be a lot of fun.

A Thorn in Every Heart – Kate King

So I actually don’t know much about A Thorn in Every Heart, but a friend in my Discord book club suggested this for one of our weekly reads. All I know is that it’s Beauty and the Beast meets Anastasia and it’s a spicy modern fairytale mashup. Sounds good to me!

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
