Bookhaul | February 2025

We’re both trying to get our physical TBR under control, but who knows if we still won’t add books to our shelves. Another month is over, so it’s time to take a look! Did we add any books to our shelves last month? Keep on reading our February bookhaul to find out!

Candyce

In February I added 18 books to my shelves. A few more than planned, but I couldn’t pass up adding some new manga to my shelves. At least I’ve already read a few! Let’s take a look at what I got!

The Starlight Heir – Amalie Howard

The Starlight Heir is actually the January Romantasy book from Fairyloot, but my package got lost. So they had to send it to me again. I’m glad the did though, because this edition is truly stunning! This romantasy sounds like a fun ride!

Onyx Storm – Rebecca Yarros

After all of the drama surrounding the sprayed edges with Iron Flame, I decided to ask my aunt in the US to get me a copy and send it here. I sent her chocolate in return, so it was a good deal. I’m glad I can add this copy to my shelves.

A Torch Against the Night – Sabaa Tahir

This year I’m doing An Ember in the Ashes reread and this month it was time for A Torch Against the Night. I love the new paperback editions that were released, so I’ve decided to collect them. They’re so floppy!

Us Against You – Fredrik Backman

Beartown was one of my favorite books when I read it in 2023. Since then I keep saying that I really need to read the rest of this trilogy. I still had my Christmas gift card, so I decided to spend part of it on Us Against You.

Husband Material – Alexis Hall

After loving Boyfriend Material this month, I wanted to read the sequel. When I visited the bookstore I stumbled upon a copy of this one and it felt like it was meant to be. I’ll be reading this one very soon.

The Charlie Method – Elle Kennedy

The Off Campus series was my introduction to sports romance and I loved them, so when we got a spinoff with the next generation I was very excited. The Charlie Method is the third book in this series and its an MMF romance.

God of Fury – Elle Kennedy

I’ve been collecting the Legacy of Gods series and this is the fifth book. I started reading the Rinaverse this month, and I already can’t wait until I get to this series.

Kingmakers: Graduation – Sophie Lark

Just like the Legacy of Gods series, I’ve been collecting the Kingmakers series by Sophie Lark. The first editions all have these beautiful sprayed edges. The series is now complete, so I can binge this one!

First-Time Caller – B.K. Borison

This is the first book in B.K. Borison’s new series and I got the Afterlight edition from Illumicrate. I love that we get a radio show in this one and I can’t wait to read the romance.

The Rose Bargain – Sasha Peyton Smith

Fairyloot is really outdoing themselves with their special editions recently! The Rose Bargain is stunning and I’m looking forward to this young adult fantasy romance. This book is described as The Cruel Prince meets The Selection. That’s an interesting combination to try out.

Iron & Embers – Helen Scheuerer

Iron & Embers is the first book in a new series and it’s a spin off of The Legends of Thezmarr series. I’m currently reading book two, so I’ll be able to dive in soon. All I know is that I love this edition!

A Condition Called Love Vol. 9-11 – Megumi Morino

I’m finally now caught up with all of the volumes that have been translated so far. I received volume 9 for Valentine’s Day and I bought the other two myself. I’m excited to see where this story goes. We’re now passed everything I saw in the anime, so it’s all new for me now.

Cat + Gamer Vol. 7 – Watur Nadantani

Cat + Gamer is my favorite slice of life manga. Not much really happens. Our main character is a gamer and we spend time with her and her cats. I’m sad that volume 8 is going to be the last one in the series.

Toradora! Vol. 1 – Yuyuko Takemia

My boyfriend and I watched this anime a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. When I was looking for new manga series to start, he suggested this one. I’ve already read this first volume and I loved it.

The Dangers in My Heart Vol. 1 – Norio Sakuari

The Dangers in My Heart Vol. 1 is another volume of manga I received for Valentine’s Day. My boyfriend watched this anime and thinks I’ll really enjoy the manga. The first volume was interesting, but there were some things I could’ve done without. I enjoyed it enough to want to continue it though.

My Love Story with Yamada-kun Vol. 4 – Mashiro

I’m not a gamer myself, but I loved the anime for My Love Story with Yamada-kun. It’s gaming and romance combined. This was the final volume of manga I received for Valentine’s Day and I’ll be reading it very soon.

Isabelle

I didn’t get any new this month, not even any audiobooks. By now I have 2 credits saved up so I should spend them soon, but I haven’t decided which audiobooks I want to get yet. I do plan on getting some new books next month, so hopefully my March bookhaul will be a but more interesting haha.

So that’s our February bookhaul! Have you read any of these? Or what did you add to your shelves? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
