WWW Wednesday #81

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Cruel King & Steel Princess – Rina Kent

Rina Kent is an author I’ve been wanting to read more by. I read Deviant King a while ago, but decided to jump back into this series. They’re so addicting and I devoured Cruel King and Steel Princess last weekend. After reading some of my book club books, I’ll be continuing Rina’s backlist.

Heartbreak Hill – Heidi McLaughlin

I stumbled upon a review for Heartbreak Hill on bookstagram and decided I needed to read it. Our main character has a heart condition and ends up receiving a new heart. We follow Grayson’s story and him falling in love. We also follow Nadia who lost her husband in a tragic accident. This story started off emotional and had me hooked, but I think the book wanted to put two stories in one book and it left me not as invested as I thought I’d be.

What are you currently reading?

Chilling Effect – Valerie Valdes

Chilling Effect is a science fiction book that caught my eye because of its stunning cover and the mention of psychic cats. I have about 100 pages left at the moment and I’m still not quite sure what I think of the story. There are elements I’m enjoying, but I feel like we’re not really given much information about the world?

Puck Shy – Teagan Hunter

A hockey romance is something I can never go wrong with and I’ve been wanting to start the Carolina Comets series for a while. Teagan Hunter is an author I’ve read from before and loved her rom-coms. At the moment I’m only about 20% in, but I’m loving Puck Shy.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Lights Out – Navessa Allen

For my swoonalong read this month, we’re reading Lights Out. I know this is a dark romance that gets very dark, but that’s also amazing. I’m excited to finally start this one. I’ll be reading along with the audiobook, because I’ve heard it’s amazing!

Hopeless – Elsie Silver

It’s finally time to finish the Chestnut Springs series. Hopeless is Beau’s story and I’ve been wanting his story since we gets hints of him throughout the other books. This is a book I’ve been putting off because I just don’t want this series to be over.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
