For years and years and years I have been saying that Gilmore Girls is in my top 3 favorite tv shows of all time (flanked by Veronica Mars and One Tree Hill) and I recently discovered the Gilmore to Say podcast. I love listening to Tara and Haley talk about all things Gilmore Girls and of course I have been rewatching the show once again. Inspired by the podcast and Valentine’s Day I thought it would be fun to share my favorite episodes of the series with you all! I picked three of my ultimate favorites, so let’s take a look!
The Lorelai’s First Day at Chilton
s01e02
This picture shows part of what I love so much about this episode, Lorelai’s outfit is ridiculous but hilarious. We’re just getting to know the girls, since this is only the second episode but I laugh out loud a lot and it shows their dynamic which I love. It might be nostalgia, but I do really like this episode.
They Shoot Gilmores, Don’t They
s03e07
I randomly think of this episode often, I used to be so jealous back in the day that I didn’t live in a town that did a 24 hour dance marathon. And maybe I still am haha. It just looked like so much fun. And Kirk and the end it so funny to me. But the reason why I love this the most is Rory-Jess-Dean. I have always been team Jess and I really dislike Dean. So this whole situation coming to blows was already what I hoped for, but the way it happened was pretty great. Yes, it was humiliating and I felt for Rory when Dean dumped her but oh girl you had that coming. Her and Jess were so into each other and every single thing they did was only because of the other. I eat it up every single time!
You Jump, I Jump, Jack
s05e07
When I think Gilmore Girls, I think You Jump, I Jump, Jack. This was the exact moment I fell in love with Logan. While I’m a team Jess girl at heart, I also really loved Logan and I actually hoped they would stay together. I think I loved this episode so much because I really relate to Rory and I love it when someone pushes me to do something I’m scared of. It’s a good way for me to get new experiences and I would love my own Logan to get me out of my comfort zone every now and then.
These are three of my absolute favorite Gilmore Girls episodes. Do you watch Gilmore Girls? And what are your favorite episodes? I would love to hear your thoughts on my picks! Let me know down below!
