We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Bookish Goals for 2025, however I already shared my 2025 bookish goals. So today (like every year haha), I will do a part 2 of the topic of last week; Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2025. I tried to pick different books than Candyce did, but there might be a book or 2 we have in common ;).
1. Onyx Storm – Rebecca Yarros (January 21st)
This is for sure one of my most anticipated releases of the year! I am so happy I just have to wait one more week to jump back into this world and this story. Iron Flame ended on a big cliffhanger and I have been excited for the next book ever since.
2. Our Infinite Fates – Laura Steven (February 27th)
I have been talking about this book a lot haha. Laura Steven is such a wonderful person and I hope she has written another banger. I also love that she uses Exile by Taylor Swift as a comparison for her story, that was for sure what drew me in before I even saw who wrote this.
3. Sunrise on the Reaping – Suzanne Collins (March 18th)
How can I not mention this one? I adored the original Hunger Games trilogy and I loved the movies. But I did hate that the second movie didn’t cover Haymitch’s games. So I’m incredibly happy we are getting his full story, although I’m also scared because this will be heartbreaking for sure.
4. Saga vol. 12 – Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples (April 15th)
I don’t have a lot to say about this one, I love this sci-fi graphic novel series and I’m excited for the next instalment. We have to wait quite a while in between these and I always devour them, but they are worth the wait!
5. The Missing Half – Ashley Flowers (May 5th)
I have been listening to Crime Junkie for years and I love Ashley Flowers’ voice. When she wrote her first book I was super excited and I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t the best thing ever, but it was good enough for a debut. I can’t wait to see what she does with her second book!
6. The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association- Caitlin Rozakis (May 27th)
I talked about this one before, it sounds like a really fun story! One I think I will love, especially as a teacher. The early reviews are really positive, even though there are only a couple yet.
7. Atmosphere – Taylor Jenkins Reid (June 3rd)
I loved Daisy Jones and I loved Evelyn Hugo, I have high hopes for this one! The setting of the 1980s Space Shuttle program sounds so cool and interesting and I’m really excited for this story. There is always a gut wrenching twist in Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books and I can’t wait to experience this newest one.
8. The Listeners – Maggie Stiefvater (June 3rd)
I have loved the Maggie Stiefvater books I’ve read so far and I’m so curious for this one. It’s set during World War II and I used to devour books set during that time. This is a complete different kind of World War II story than I have read and I can’t wait to see what Maggie Stiefvater did with it.
9. Six Wild Crowns – Holly Race (June 10th)
This is a fantasy with dragons, court politics and sapphic yearning and is inspired by the six wives of Henry VIII. I’m so curious about this one! The early reviews are pretty positive, and while I don’t necessarily expect this to be a 5 star read, I think it will be a 4 star read for sure.
10. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil – V.E. Schwab (June 10th)
Talking about 5 star expectations, this is one for sure! I love V.E. Schwab and I love her work. This book sounds so so good and I don’t really want to know much more. I simply want to dive into this story and enjoy it!
These are 10 of my most anticipated releases for the first half of 2025. Are you excited about these books? What is your most anticipated release? I would love to hear from you!
I hope you enjoy reading all of these when you can.

The Grimoire Grammar School book sounds super fun! I’m planning to read that one as well. I hope we both love it.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
