Bookish Item | 25 in 2025 Part 2

Last week I shared the first part of the 25 books I hope to read in 2025. Those were all books I already have on my physical TBR. Today I also want to highlight some eARC’s I really want to read this year. Hopefully I also am reminded of them this way haha. Let’s jump in!

13. Silvercloak – Laura Steven

I love Laura Steven and I’m so excited about all the books she has coming out. There isn’t that much known about this one yet but I can’t wait to dive in. It’s a dark fantasy and the start of a series.

14. The Hexologists – Josiah Bancroft

I have heard nothing but good things about this one. It sounds like a really fun fantasy mystery. I enjoyed Senlin Ascends by the author and I can’t wait to read more of his work.

15. The Tainted Cup – Robert Jackson Bennett

This was a Goodreads Choice Awards nominee in the fantasy category. Clearly a lot of people enjoyed it last year. It’s also a fantasy mystery story and I need more of those. I can’t wait to dive in!

16. Breath of the Dragon – Fonda Lee & Shannon Lee

I loved Untethered Sky by Fonda Lee and I’m finally reading Jade City. Of course I’m now also interested in Breath of the Dragon. It is a fantasy and it clearly has dragons. And it’s the first book in a duology.

17. Our Infinite Fates – Laura Steven

Of course I also had to add this Laura Steven release. It’s inspired by a Taylor Swift song and it sound like something I will absolutely love. They’ve loved each other in a thousand lifetimes. They’ve killed each other in every one. Who could resist this?

18. Gwen & Art Are Not in Love – Lex Croucher

This is a queer, medieval rom-com and I have heard amazing things about it. I hope this is super cute but also funny. It sounds like something I could love so I have high hopes.

19. Where Sleeping Girls Lie – Faridah Ábíké-Íyímídé

I loved Ace of Spades and have been waiting for a new book by this author ever since. Without really knowing what this is about I already wanted to read it. We all know I love a good YA mystery, especially when the setting is a boarding school.

20. The Pairing – Casey McQuiston

Red, White & Royal Blue is one of my favorite romances of all time. You can imagine my excitement about this newest release. I have heard great things about this one and my expectations are pretty high.

21. The Spellshop – Sarah Beth Durst

Look at that gorgeous cover! This seems like a really cosy fantasy with a librarian who opens a secret spell shop on the island she grew up on. I can’t wait to dive in, the reviews are really positive.

22. Witch King – Martha Wells

I love the Martha Wells stories I have read so far. This fantasy sounds like it will have the same humor as the Murderbot books and I truly hope that will be the case.

23. The Prince & the Apocalypse- Kara McDowell

I really enjoyed the Kara McDowell books I have read so far and think this will be just as enjoyable. It seems like a fun premise and with only 320 pages I think it will also be a fast read.

24. City of Nightmares – Rebecca Schaeffer

This fantasy has such an interesting premise and I’m excited to find out how it all works. I was also drawn in by the mention of a criminal syndicate conspiracy and a possible cult.

25. She Doesn’t Have a Clue – Jenny Elder Moke

A mystery with a mystery author on a destination wedding, where her ex is the groom. There is a murder but also a second chance at love. This half mystery, half romance sounds like a fun time!

These are the last 13 books that are part of my 25 in 2025. I decided to add them to my 2025 Reading spreadsheet, hopefully I won’t forget that I planned on reading these books! Which one should I start with? Let me know down below!
