WWW Wednesday #77

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

O Goalie Night – K.M. Gillis

I’m a big fan of hockey romance, and O Goalie Night looked like a book I’d love. While I did enjoy Foster and Beth, Beth’s brother annoyed me throughout this book. That did kind of take away some of my enjoyment. I felt like it took from us getting to see more of the couple we were reading about. Even if it was a best friend’s/teammates’ sister romance.

Expiration Dates – Rebecca Serle

Expiration Dates has an interesting concept. I mean, I’m not sure how I’d deal with meeting someone and knowing exactly how much time I was going to get with them. We read about the men Daphne has met and been with, but also the guy she meets in the present who doesn’t seem to have a time limit. This is definitely scary and she’s not sure what to do with that. I will say this one got a lot more emotional than I was expecting!

What are you currently reading?

A Sea of Unspoken Things – Adrienne Young

I know Adrienne Young as an author who writes very atmospheric and magical books. The magical realism she adds definitely gives her books something extra. A Sea of Unspoken Things is her 2025 release and I’m currently reading my eARC. I’m about 20% in and I’m getting the same vibes from this story. James goes back to her hometown, that she left 20 years ago, when her brother unexpectedly dies. It seems like there’s more than meets the eye, so she’s trying to find out more about what happened before the day he died.

Bourbon & Secrets – Victoria Wilder

I loved the first book in this series, Bourbon & Lies. It was the perfect blend of romance and suspense, and I know that this sequel is leading up to that. Lincoln is a character that intrigued me, and his daughters are a lot of fun. I have a feeling this will be a five star read.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Only and Forever – Chloe Liese

I’ll be starting the new year by finishing one of my favorite series. The first six books in the Bergman Brothers were all five star reads for me. Only and Forever came out in April, but I just didn’t want it to be over. I do really want to read Viggo’s story, so I’m thinking it’s a great way to start 2025.

The Half King – Melissa Landers

It’s time to start reading more of my subscription books, so I’m starting with The Half King. My Discord book club is reading this one this week! This sounds like the perfect start of a new romantasy series.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
