We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books on My Winter 2024-2025 to-Read List. I don’t really make TBRs, but I do like thinking about the books I would like to read in the coming months. So let’s dive in and take a look at my possible winter TBR!
1. When the Moon Hatched – Sarah A. Parker
I got this one this summer and I really planned on reading it right away. At one point I did start, but I was so tired and the start was pretty difficult to understand and keep straight. So I put it down for a bit, but I haven’t picked it back up yet. Hopefully this winter!
2. Legends & Lattes – Travis Baldree
This is one of the latest books I got and I would love to dive in soonish. I think this would be a nice read when I’m feeling stressful after the Christmas break when my students are getting tested and I have to write a ton of report cards.
3. Jade City – Fonda Lee
This one has been on way too many lists like this. But I do really want to read it though! It still sounds like a book I would highly enjoy and I have heard amazing things about it. Hopefully I can finally read this one this winter.
4. The City of Brass – S.A. Chakraborty
Another one that has been on a lot of lists like this already. I would love to read it this winter, and the sequels as well. Later in 2025, I believe in September, we get the sequel to The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi and it would be nice if I had read this other series by the author by then.
5. Apprentice to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer
I loved the first book in this series when I read it this summer. Multiple times my friends gave me weird looks because I was laughing out loud on vacation. But the book was just really funny! I obviously have high expectations for this one and I hope to read it during my Christmas break.
6. The Songbird & the Heart of Stone – Carissa Broadbent
I really enjoyed the first two books in this world and I can’t wait to dive into this story. The main character is one we already know through the previous books and I’m excited for her story. I have a copy through Kindle Unlimited but I listened to the audiobook for the previous one and I’m still debating how to read this one.
7. My Salty Mary – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows
I’m already 20% into this story and I should really pick it back up. The first part of the book was definitely enjoyable and I have loved all the previous books by these authors. So I hope to finish this one in the coming months. I also really hope we’ll get another series like Jane and Mary.
8. Dark Fae – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
As you might know, I’m currently reading The Reckoning, book 3 in the Zodiac Academy series. I have seen a reading guide for this universe and it was recommended to start with the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac trilogy before going any further with the Zodiac Academy books. So that is what I’ll be doing!
9. Onyx Storm – Rebecca Yarros
Obviously this one is on the list! I am so excited for this release! As soon as it is available I will be diving it. After the ending of book 2 I just need to know what happens next. I have pretty high hopes and I would love to wait for the Graphic Audio audiobook but I don’t think I’ll have to patience for that haha.
10. Our Infinite Fates – Laura Steven
This one releases towards the end of the winter, but I would love to read it as soon as it hits the shelves so I could still do so in the winter. I love the sound of this book and I love Laura Steven so I have really good hopes for this one.
And those are 10 books that are possibly on my winter TBR. Like I said, I usually don’t make those so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to actually cross any books off this list once spring starts. It might be fun to look back on this in 3 months! What books are on your winter TBR? And what do you think of my choices? I would love to hear from you down below!
I need to read so many of the books on your TBR!
I absolutely ADORED Legends & Lattes! I hope you do, too (and all the others on your list).
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you.
Legends and Lattes was so good! Perfect cozy vibes for the stressful grading season.

The cover for When the Moon Hatched is very pretty!
I’m excited for MY SALTY MARY too. I’ve listened to the whole series on audiobook and really enjoyed them that way, so I’m waiting for the audio version of this one. Great series!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
