As we’ve mentioned before, one of our most important reading goals of is shrinking our physical TBR’s. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books we still have or what subjects to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is titles starting with a ‘C’. I’m not thinking of anything at the moment, but I’m sure I have some. Let’s take a look!

Cemetery Boys – Aiden Thomas

Cemetery Boys is a book I’ve heard great things about and I actually started reading it. I tend to be reader who is easily distracted, so even though I was enjoying this story, I didn’t go back to it. The sequel is now out, so it’d be great to read them back to back.

Call Down the Hawk – Maggie Stiefvater

Call Down the Hawk is a kind of spinoff of The Raven Cycle. I was loving The Raven Cycle and ordered this one when I was reading the third book. Before reading Call Down the Hawk, I wanted to read the fourth and final book. I tend to be really bad at completing series, so that hasn’t happened yet. I will start this series though.

Chilling Effect – Valerie Valdes

Science fiction is a genre I read now and then and Chilling Effect caught my eye. I’d be lying if I didn’t say it mostly had to do with the cats on the cover, haha. I mean, who can say no to psychic cats?!? I will say that I have heard good things about this book. Chilling Effect may just be a book I nominate for my in person book club soon.

Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare

The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments are two series I devoured when I started reading more about 8 years ago. The Shadowhunter world became very special to me. I’m caught up except for this trilogy. It’s a spinoff to The Infernal Devices and I’m hoping to read this in 2025.

Cursed Fates – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Zodiac Academy is a hyped series that I decided to give a go about two years ago. I couldn’t put down the first four books. I’m actually about halfway through Cursed Fates, but I needed something different. These books are huge and it can be a lot to binge these back to back. This series is now complete and is on my list of series to finish next year.
