It’s already October, but I still want to talk about all of the books I’m excited about. As you know, I don’t always stick to my TBRs, but at the moment I put together these posts, these are all books I want to read. So keep on reading for my October TBR.

Group Reads

Haunted Ever After – Jen DeLuca

For my swoon read in October, I decided to pick Haunted Ever After. It is spooky season, so this one seemed like it would be fun. The first sentence says “it’s love at first haunting” and that’s all I need to know.

The Ballad of Never After – Stephanie Garber

Last month the series slayers group I co-host, started the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy last month. So this month we’re reading the sequel, The Ballad of Never After, and I’m excited to complete series. I can’t tell you if I love the first book, because I’m getting this TBR post ready ahead of time. Hopefully I loved it!

Death at Morning House – Maureen Johnson

Truly Devious is a series I really love, so when I saw Maureen Johnson was publishing a standalone mystery, I knew I needed to read it. After reading the synopsis I have a feeling this will also be told with a dual timeline and I love that.

The Courting of Bristol Keats – Mary E. Pearson

I loved The Remnant Chronicles by this author and was really excited to read she was going to write an adult fantasy romance. At the moment, I have an eARC and an ALC, so I plan on reading while listening along.

Backlist/Physical Books

The Way I Hate Him – Meghan Quinn

The Way I Hate Him is one I’m actually really surprised I haven’t read yet. Meghan Quinn is one of my favorite authors and I know I’m going to love this book.

Where Sleeping Girls Lie – Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé

Where Sleeping Girls Lie was one of my most anticipated 2024 books and I need to sit down and read it. I loved Ace of Spades and a friend recently said she loved this one even more than that book. This book also seems perfect for this fall season.

The Beautiful – Renee Ahdieh

The Beautiful has been on my shelf for about five years now and if that doesn’t tell me I need to read a book, I don’t know what does. All I know is that this has vampires? The series is now complete, so hopefully I can binge this one.
