We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books on My Fall TBR. Candyce already did a part 1 for this topic last week and today it’s my turn. I usually don’t make TBR’s but I actually did do one for fall about 2 weeks ago haha. There were only a couple of books on there so let’s see if I can do 10 books to do I would like to read the coming weeks. Let’s jump in!
1. The Awakening – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
I’m currently reading this one and I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s the first book I got through Kindle Unlimited and I think it fits the fall vibe very well. It has magic, it has fae and it has a school, all fall-bookelements in my opinion haha.
2. The Promised Neverland vol. 8 – Kaiu Shirai
I got this one earlier this year and I really want to get back into this manga series. After finishing Haikyu it’s time for a new one and I have read the first 7 volumes of this one already. This is a messed up and dark world and another read that is perfect for fall.
3. Monstress vol. 4: the Chosen – Marjorie M. Liu & Sana Takeda
I haven’t been reading that many graphic novels lately but this is one I still have on my TBR. It’s another one with a dark world. I don’t hear many people talk about this series unfortunately. Later this year the ninth volume will be released and it would be great if I can get caught up before then.
4. The Agathas – Kathleen Glasgow & Liz Lawson
This is a bit of a lighter read in between. I think this mystery/thriller is on the bigger side with 400 pages but I also think it could be a quick read. Reviews are all over the place and I’m really curious to see where I will fall on that range.
5. The Bone Shard Daughter – Andrea Stewart
This one has been on way too many TBR lists now. I already had the physical book but now I also have an ebook through Kindle Unlimited. Hopefully that will help me to finally get through this one. I’m sure I’m going to love it!
6. Hollowpox – Jessica Townsend
It’s been a while since I read the first books in this series but I think fall would be the perfect time to jump back in. I really loved reading about Morrigan Crow and I’m excited to go back to this world.
7. The Priory of the Orange Tree – Samantha Shannon
This is a huge one and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get to this one. But I do have an audiobook as well as a physical copy so that might help me to get through this one. I have heard great things about it and I hope I’ll enjoy it just as much.
8. Bloodwitch – Susan Dennard
I have been planning on reading this one for such a long time now and it would honestly be great if I could finally get to this one. This series is wonderful and I have high hopes for the rest of the books.
9. The Deal – Elle Kennedy
This is another one I have been curious about for a long time now! And since I got a copy through Kindle Unlimited it seems like this fall is the time I will be reading it. I have heard great things and while it’s outside my comfort zone I do think it could be one I like.
10. The Sword of Kaigen – M.L. Wang
I hadn’t heard of this one until recently but since then I have heard great things. It’s another one I got through Kindle Unlimited. If things go according to my plans, it looks like I will be making good use of my Kindle Unlimited subscription haha.
These are 10 books I would love to read this fall. I’m already reading the first one but I need to make haste if I want to get through all 10 of these haha. What do you think of my picks? Which one should I read next? Let me know down below!
The Bone Shard Daughter looks really good (and I enjoyed the audio of the third book in the series when I had it from Netgalley). I hope you enjoy these books when you get to them (and good luck!). Have a fabulous week.

I listened to The Priory of the Orange Tree on audio and it was surprisingly easy to get through. I’m a bit behind with the Monstress comics too, though I fear I’ve now forgotten what was happening.

Hollowpox looks interesting.
I enjoyed The Agathas! I should try the Nevermoor series.
Nice list! I want to read The Agathas at some point. Here’s my TTT post: https://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2024/09/top-ten-tuesday-books-on-my-fall-2024.html?sc=1727193621015#c8686181387411221174

You seem to get a lot of good finds on Kindle Unlimited. I canceled my subscription because I wasn’t reading enough out of it to warrant the price. I’m looking forward to hearing what you say about The Agathas and The Deal. Happy reading!
