As we’ve mentioned before, one of our most important reading goals of is shrinking our physical TBR’s. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books we still have or what subjects to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is Hello Autumn! We’re definitely heading into my favorite time of year. For me autumn reads tend to be fantasy books and mysteries/thrillers. So here are five “autumn” reads I have on my TBR.
House of Beating Wings – Olivia Wildenstein
In all honesty, I have no clue what House of Beating Wings is about. This fantasy romance has a cover that intrigues me, and I know many readers who have loved this story. There are now four books out in this series and I see that we’ll be getting a fifth one next year. It’ll give me time to catch up.
This Ravenous Fate – Hayley Dennings
Vampires in 1920s Harlem definitely screams autumn to me. I’ve been so excited about This Ravenous Fate and I want to curl up with this one on a rainy day.
Sleeping Giants – Sylvain Neuvel
Sleeping Giants is a book I keep hearing amazing things about and I decided I wanted to read it myself. What intrigues me the most about this, is that it’s told through transcripts. I love when books are told in a unique way.
Star Bringer – Tracy Wolff & Nina Croft
Science fiction isn’t a genre I read often, but Star Bringer sounded like one I’d really enjoy. Seven unlikely heroes must stop the sun from dying if I understand everything correctly. It’ll be interesting if the main characters aren’t the heroes you expect.
Immortal Longings – Chloe Gong
Immortal Longings has been on my TBR for over a year, but it’s one I haven’t picked up yet. I don’t know much about this one, except for that it has some type of games. That’s one of my favorite elements in a book. The sequel released this month, so it’s time for me to get going.
So here are five autumn reads on my TBR! Hopefully I can get to them before the season is over. Have you read any of these? What did you think? If not, what are some autumn reads on your TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
