Wishlist Wednesday| Most Anticipated September 2024 Releases

We keep repeating ourselves, but 2024 is really flying by! It’s time to talk about our most anticipated September releases. September tends to be a bigger publishing month, so it’ll be interesting to see how many books have caught our attention. So let’s take a look!

When Haru Was Here – Dustin Thao (September 3rd)

You’ve Reached Sam by this author was emotional and beautiful and I’ve been waiting for a new book by Dustin Thao. When Haru Was Here sounds like it’s going to be emotional again and we get another stunning cover! This is described as Wandavision meets We Are Okay. I’ll have my tissues ready.

The Games Gods Play – Abigail Owen (September 3rd)

A deadly contest held by gods with mortals as their champions? Sign me up! This sounds wonderful and it could be really cool.

Immortal Dark – Tigest Girma (September 3rd)

Cruel Prince meets Ninth House, a romantic dark academia fantasy with a lost heiress who has to infiltrate the vampire society she thinks killed her family and took her sister, who doesn’t want to read that?!

Somewhere Beyond the Sea – T.J. Klune (September 10th)

I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea so of course I’m excited for this sequel! Hopefully this is just as good as the first book.

An Academy for Liars – Alexis Henderson (September 17th)

An Academy for Liars is a dark acedemia novel and it seems like everything I love in a book. I haven’t read many dark academia books recently and I really need to change that.

A Dark and Drowning Tide – Allison Saft (September 17th)

Academic rivals come together to solve their mentor’s murder? Sign me up! A Dark and Drowning Tide seems like a perfect rainy day, autumn read!

A Fire in the Sky – Sophie Jordan (September 24th)

This is set in the same world as the Firelight series and it’s an adult romantasy, the first book in a new series. There are some really positive early reviews for this one, it sounds exciting.

A Jingle Bell Mingle – Julie Murphy & Sierra Simone (September 24th)

I’ve loved all of the books in the A Christmas Notch series so far and I’ve been anxiously awaiting A Jingle Bell Mingle. Isaac is a character we’ve heard about and met and I’m excited for his story! I have an eARC of this, so hopefully I’ll have finished this before release day.

So here’s the list of our most anticipated releases coming to us this September! Do we have any in common? Or did we miss any you really think we need to know about? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
