Another month is over, so it’s time to talk about the new books we added t0 our shelves in July. Did we add any new books? Or were we good? Keep on reading our July bookhaul to find out!
Candyce
July was a good bookish month for me, but I wasn’t very wild. I’m really trying to be good and read more on my Kobo. So in July I ended up adding eight books to my shelves.
Cat + Gamer Vol. 5 – Wataru Nadatani
If you’ve been following the blog for awhile, you know I’ve been enjoying this manga. Even though I’m not a gamer, I love seeing someone learn how to take care of cats. The best part is also getting some parts from the cats’ POV. I read this one the same day I got it.
Wolfsong & Ravensong – TJ Klune
I’ve been wanting to read the Green Creek series for quite some time now. Previous books I’ve read by this author have been favorites, so it’s time to dive more into Klune’s backlist. So when I saw these special editions on a website here, I knew I needed them. I’m hoping to read them soon.
The Wren in the Holly Library – K.A. Linde
So I now accidentally have The Wren in the Holly Library twice, haha. When it released last month, I got the first edition, because it had artwork and sprayed edges. I didn’t know at the time that this book was also chosen for the Fairyloot romantasy book in July. Oh well, this one is also stunning!
A Sign of Affection Vol. 9 – Suu Morishita
Of course I had to get the next volume of A Sign of Affection for my shelves. This is quickly becoming my favorite manga series and I read this one the same day it arrived. That’s one good thing about manga, it’s not something that sits unread on my shelves, haha.
Catch the Sun – Jennifer Hartmann
I’m still working on Jennifer Hartmann’s backlist, but Catch the Sun is a YA release. The cover is stunning and the story sounds like it’s going to hit me in all of the feels. It’s over 500 pages, so it’s good for my goal of reading big books.
A Thousand Broken Kisses – Tillie Cole
When I first started reading a lot again, A Thousand Boy Kisses was one of the books I read. I knew it was going to be sad, but I wasn’t expecting it to make me sob. The author has now released a sequel about the main characters’ siblings from book one. I’m curious to see if this one will be just as emotional.
Sleep Like Death – Kalynn Bayron
Sleep Like Death was my Fairyloot YA book in July and I am absolutely in love with this cover. This is a Snow White retelling and I don’t think I’ve read one of those before. I’ve read Cinderella Is Dead by this author and really enjoyed it, so I’m excited about Sleep Like Death.
Isabelle
I only bought one new book in July! So I feel like I’ve been pretty good haha. I haven’t read as much as I hoped I would, but with the end of the school year and my Formula 1 trip it does make sense, at least my TBR didn’t grow!
When the Moon Hatched – Sarah A. Parker
I’ve seen a lot of raving reviews for this one and I just couldn’t resist it at my local bookshop. It was meant for my Formula 1 trip and I did start reading it there but it is far from finished haha.
So that’s our July bookhaul! Have you read any of these? Or did you add any books to your shelves you’re excited about? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
