With only a few days left in 2023, it’s time to talk about our anticipated January releases. Normally January is a busy month when it comes to new books, so 2024 is probably going to be starting off with a bang! So keep on reading to see what books we’re most excited about releasing next month.

First Lie Wins – Ashley Elston (January 2nd)

I’ve really enjoyed Ashley Elston’s YA books and I’m super excited about her adult debut. This is a mystery/thriller so I don’t want to know too much. I do know the main character has a fake identity and her boyfriend is her ‘target’. Can’t wait to find out what that’s all about!

Mislaid in Parts Half-Known (January 9th)

The newest installment in the Wayward Children series! I didn’t completely love the last couple of books but I do have high hopes for this one. We’re back at our beloved school and we will see a world that has dinosaurs!

Only If You’re Lucky – Stacy Willingham (January 16th)

Stacy Willingham is one of my favorite thriller authors. I’ve given both of her books five stars and I’m excited by Only If You’re Lucky. To be honest, I haven’t read the synopsis yet, because I like going into thrillers not knowing much. I just know I have to read it, because it was written by this author.

Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands – Heather Fawcett (January 16th)

Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries was such a pleasant surprise of the year. This cozy fantasy was one I couldn’t put down and I’m glad we’re getting more adventures with this character. Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands also has another stunning cover.

Fence vol. 6: Redemption – C.S. Pacat & Johanna the Mad (January 16th)

I am beyond excited for this release! This is probably my favorite comic I’ve read and I can’t wait to find out what happens in this sixth volume. These boys are in my heart and I wish nothing but the best for them. I’m always looking to find something similar haha.

The Breakup Tour – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka (January 23rd)

I’ve read a couple of books by this author duo and I’ve enjoyed them! In The Breakup Tour our main character has become a star overnight and calls her ex, who her hit song is about. I love second chance romances, so I definitely will be picking this one up!

The Invocations – Krystal Sutherland (January 30th)

I enjoyed House of Hollow by this author and The Invocations sounds really interesting. It’s a witchy seductive thriller. Again, I haven’t read too much about this book, but it sounds like an intense one.

House of Flame and Shadow – Sarah J Maas (January 30th)

Possibly (and probably to be honest) my most anticipated release of the year! I’m beyond excited for this one, especially after that brutal cliffhanger. There are so many theories online and I can’t wait to find out if any of them are correct!
