WWW Wednesday #50

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Two Twisted Crowns – Rachel Gillig

After loving One Dark Window is was great that I didn’t have to wait a really long time to get my hands on Two Twisted Crowns. I loved this dark and magical fantasy. I’m sad this is only a duology, but I have to say I really appreciated how everything ended (I can’t say too much, because it’s a sequel).

Four Aunties and a Wedding – Jesse Q. Sutanto

I loved Dial A for Aunties! It was over the top and very dramatic, but it was so much fun. The aunties were hilarious and I was excited about Four Aunties and a Wedding. Unfortunately, this one ended up being a bit of a disappointment. There were definitely some funny moments, but I don’t know it didn’t really seem like much happened.

What are you currently reading?

After I Do – Taylor Jenkins Reid

Taylor Jenkins Reid is an author who has written quite a few books that I’ve loved. Because of that I really want to read the rest of her backlist. I had Forever, Interrupted on my TBR this month until I realized it wasn’t a backlist book on my shelf (I only got my copy this year). So I started After I Do. I’m 100 pages in and I’m curious to see where it goes. A couple taking a break for a year when they fall out of love. I wonder if/how they’ll find their way back to each other.

Holiday Romance  – Catherine Walsh

I’m in full Christmas mode and a friend and I decided to do a buddy read of Holiday Romance. When this post comes online, I’ll actually be done reading this one. I’ve loved every moment so far. Two people who end up becoming “plane friends” after an awkward flight one Christmas go on an adventure to get home for the holidays. There’s definitely more going on though.

Rewrite Our Story – Kat Singleton

Rewrite Our Story is a book I saw everywhere when it released earlier this year. I’m about 70% into this second chance romance and I’m loving it. There have been a few moments where I thought, if they just actually communicated so many problems would be solved, haha. Thankfully I’m enjoying it more than being annoyed. I also really appreciate the chapters we get from the past.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Iron Flame – Rebecca Yarros

I can definitely say I’m not the only one who has been anxiously awaiting the release of Iron Flame. The ending of Fourth Wing left me wanting more and I’m glad we only had to wait a few months for the sequel to release. We have no clue when the third book releases, so that’s probably going to be quite the wait.

Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date – Ashley Herring Blake

After loving Delilah Green Doesn’t Care and Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail, I’ve been so excited about Iris’ book. We met her in the first two books and know a bit about her. She hasn’t had the best luck with dating, so it’s time for her to get her happily ever after. I’m only sad that this is the last book in the Bright Falls trilogy.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. Have you read any of these? Or have you read anything amazing recently? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
