Bookish Item| December TBR

I can’t believe I’m sitting down to talk about my final TBR of 2022. There are always so many books that I want and need to read. Even though I don’t always complete my TBRs, this is a list of books I am really excited about reading. Hopefully I get to them all!

Group Reads/Buddy Reads

Talk Santa to Me – Linda Urban

It’s December and that means I love reading holiday themed books. Talk Santa to Me sounds really cute. I mean look at the cover! Our main character wants a second chance at a perfect first kiss. This sounds really cute.

So This is Christmas – Jenny Holiday

Last year I read Duke, Actually and loved it. The third book in this series, So This is Christmas, is now out and I’m excited to read it. An American woman falls in love with a royal advisor. Sounds like a nice Christmas romance!

The Priory of the Orange Tree – Samantha Shannon

The Priory of the Orange Tree has been on my shelf unread for way too long. It’s almost 900 pages, so it’s an intimidating book. That being said, I’ve heard nothing but amazing things and the sequel releases next year (and I have an e-arc). A book club I joined is reading this, so I thought it was a great time to join.

Blog Tours/ARCs

Witcha Gonna Do – Avery Flynn

I love witchy books, so I couldn’t resist saying yes when the publisher sent an email asking if I wanted to join the tour. At the moment, I’m actually halfway through with Witcha Gonna Do and it’s a cute read so far. I can’t imagine accidentally cursing my whole family.

A Kingdom of Frost and Fear – Whitney Dean

A Kingdom of Flame and Fury had me sucked in and I couldn’t stop reading. I’m on the author’s street team and have an e-arc of the sequel, A Kingdom of Frost and Fear. It’s an 800 page book and I’m excited to read it.

All I Want for Christmas – Maggie Knox

Last year I read and loved The Holiday Swap, so when I saw Maggie Knox was publishing All I Want for Christmas I had to request this book. It has fake dating, so I didn’t need to know more than that.

Nine Liars – Maureen Johnson

Truly Devious is one of my favorite YA mystery series and we’re getting another book. Nine Liars wasn’t a book I was expecting to be getting, but I’m so excited we are. I can’t wait to join Stevie again for our next investigation.

Physical Backlist Books

So I’ve been thinking about my 2023 reading goals and I have to say I’m going to start on this one a little earlier. Last weekend the boyfriend helped me make a list of all of my unread books. Out of the 668 books I own at the moment 405 of them are unread. This really needs to change. So using a random number generator, I chose 3 backlist/physical books on my shelf to read in December.

Bring Me Their Hearts – Sara Wolf

Bring Me Their Hearts is a YA fantasy that I’ve been really curious about. A few of my friends really enjoyed this series, so I’m excited to give it a try. The cover is stunning, so I’m hoping the story is just as good.

Into the Crooked Place – Alexandra Christo

Into the Crooked Place gives me Six of Crows vibes for some reasons and I’m curious about this group of characters. Four characters must come together and save their world. Hopefully they are able to succeed.

The Becoming of Noah Shaw – Michelle Hodkin

The Mara Dyer trilogy is one I really enjoyed. The Becoming of Noah Shaw is one I was really excited about, but for some reason still haven’t read, haha. I remember the third book was delayed and I’m not sure if it’s out yet or not. I own the first two books though.

So here is my December TBR! I still can’t believe this is my final 2022 TBR post. This year really flew by. What do you hope to read in December? Let me know in the comments! I love hearing about the books others are reading.
