WWW Wednesday #20

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read! It’s been almost a month since I’ve done a WWW Wednesday post, so it’s definitely time for a new one.

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Club 22 – Tate James

After starting Club 22 months ago I finally binged the last 75% of this book. I couldn’t put it down!! Once again Tate James has given us so many twists and turns and I never saw that ending coming. I need to start Timber, but I’m afraid to at the same time.

Love on the Brain – Ali Hazelwood

After really enjoying The Love Hypothesis last year I was afraid that my expectations would be too high for Love on the Brain, but thankfully that wasn’t the case. Levi and Bee were such fun characters. I’m normally not a fan of so much miscommunication in a book, but it just fit this story so well and had me laughing.

Blood Like Magic – Liselle Sambury

Another book I’ve been wanting to read for quite some time and finally did. Can you imagine finding out that to save your family’s magic you have to destroy your first love? I know I wouldn’t do well. There’s a lot more to this book though and I can’t wait to read the sequel.

What are you currently reading?

Yes & I Love You – Roni Loren

I was planning on reading this book earlier this year, but you know me, I get distracted. I’m about 9 chapters in now and I’m loving Hollyn and Jasper. I just want to hug them both. I have the other two books in this series as well, so hopefully I will keep on going after Yes & I Love You.

As Good As Dead – Holly Jackson

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder has been such a good series and I’m finally reading the final book. It wasn’t on my list of books for right this moment, but Isabelle recently finished it and loved it. There have been some mixed reviews, so it’s time for me to read it as well. It definitely feels darker with how it’s starting.

Court of the Vampire Queen – Katee Robert

We’re heading to spooky season, so why not read about vampires? Court of the Vampire Queen is a bundle of three stories. I’m about 10% in, so not much to tell yet. I do hope we start getting more plot though. I don’t mind sex in books, but it’s quite there right from the start, haha.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Hook, Line and Sinker – Tessa Bailey

After reading It Happened One Summer a couple of months ago and really enjoying it I say it’s time to read the companion novel. Hook, Line and Sinker follows Hannah and Fox. Hannah was a character I really liked and I know there’s more to Fox than we got in the first book.

Babel – R.F. Kuang

Babel is a recent release I’ve been curious about, because I enjoy dark academia books. I have a feeling this isn’t a book I’ll be able to read in one sitting, so I think I’m going to read it in sections. I’ve heard so many great things about it I need to read it myself.

Timber – Tate James

Like I just said Club 22 had so many things happening I wasn’t expecting and that ending left me wanting more. Timber is the fourth and final book and I’m really curious to see how Tate James is going to wrap everything up!

So this is my WWW Wednesday for this week. I have a lot more I’m planning to read next while I’m still off of work, but I’ll write a book if I talk about all of them. What are you reading now? Or did you read anything amazing recently? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.

  1. So many good looking books! I want to read Love on the Brain (I am going to get it for Christmas – I know because I saw it arrive in the post!) and I am glad that you say that it met your expectations as I have high ones too.

I really enjoyed Hook, Line and Sinker and would even go as far as saying that I preferred it to It Happened One Summer.

    Have a great week!

  2. So many amazing books on this list, so little time! I love all your romance picks. I am such a sucker for the more recent cute covers for contemporary romances….they just work for me. I need to pick up Ali Hazelwood’s books especially.

    Enjoy your reading this week!
