This year is flying by so fast! We’re already a third in and today it’s May. So of course we wanted to talk about our bookhauls in April. They’ve been less crazy than previous years, is that still the case or is this the month we went all out again? Let’s take a look!
Candyce
April ended up being a month that I did add some books to my shelves. My mother and I went shopping and I visited a bookstore I haven’t been to in two years, so of course I left with a few books. In April I added 9 books to my shelf and I’ve read two already, so I’m off to a good start!
Layla – Colleen Hoover
I realized I’m actually pretty behind when it comes to Colleen Hoover. Layla is one I’ve been interested in and I honestly don’t know what the exact story is, but I like going in not knowing much!
Verity – Colleen Hoover
Verity seems to be a very popular book by Colleen Hoover and apparently very dark. I’ve heard it’s very twisted. It’s one I want to read and I finally picked it up while at the bookstore.
This Woven Kingdom – Tahereh Mafi
Tahereh Mafi is an author I’ve read a few books by and This Woven Kingdom has been on my radar since the cover reveal. A fantasy book with royalty and by the sound of it a romance, so I can’t say no to that. Especially with how pretty this book is as well.
You and Me on Vacation – Emily Henry
Emily Henry is an author I’ve read a couple of books by and I really enjoyed Beach Read. With summer right around the corner I needed to add You and Me on Vacation to my shelves. Best friends go on vacation together and I have a feeling we’re going to end up with a love story at the end.
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care – Ashley Herring Blake
I had the honor of reading an e-arc of Delilah Green Doesn’t Care before it released and I LOVED this book!! At the moment I can already tell you this will be on my favorites of 2022. I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in this series releasing in November.
Dating Dr. Dil – Nisha Sharma
Dating Dr. Dil is a book that I’ve seen everywhere since it was available for BOTM subscribers. I started listening to the audiobook and was loving it! Between having an extra day off of work and ending up sick I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish the audio before the discussion (I listen to audiobooks during my commute to work). I’m really glad I read this book.
Hotel Magnifique – Emily J. Taylor
Hotel Magnifique is a book I’ve seen quite a lot on bookstagram since it released and the cover definitely caught my eye. Recently a good friend of mine bought this one and read it in one day and loved every second of it. That definitely got me even more intrigued, so I had to have it myself!
The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea – Axie Oh
As usual I plan on participating in a lot of group reads in May and The Girl Who Feel Beneath the Sea is one of these books. Again, look at this stunning cover! It is a floppy paperback and those really are the best.
I Kissed Shara Wheeler – Casey McQuiston
Casey McQuiston became an auto-buy author for me after I read Red, White and Royal Blue. I Kissed Shara Wheeler is Casey’s next release and actually doesn’t officially release until tomorrow, but my copy came early! I just thought this was going to be a contemporary with some romance, but there’s also a mystery element apparently. I’m excited to sit down with this one.
Isabelle
It must be getting boring but once again I didn’t get any new books! I do have a giftcard so I’m looking into getting one or two books this month. Hopefully I will have something to show in the May Bookhaul haha.
So that’s our April book haul! Did you buy or receive any new books this month? Or read any you see here? If you have, let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
