The very last day of 2020 is here! This has been a very weird year and I’m glad we’re moving into a new year. For today I have the last post of the year and it’s going to be a tag. I found the New Year’s Eve Book Tag and that was just perfect! Leelynn created this tag so go check her blog out. For now, let’s jump into the tag.
First off the rules:
- Link back to the tag’s creator (Leelynn @ Sometimes Leelynn Reads)
- Thank and link back to the person that tagged you.
- Feel free to use my graphics or create your own. Credit is appreciated if you do.
- Answer the questions as best as you can. No answer is incorrect!
- Tag some people to do this tag. No minimum or limit.
- Spread the love and have a happy New Year!
This tag was created for last year’s New Year’s Eve so with two questions I changed the dates ;).
I read 30 books I rated 5 stars this year so you can imagine this is a very hard question haha. Picking one is basically impossible, so I’m going with my most recent 5 star read. And that was Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson. This is the second book in the Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series and I can’t wait for the next book!
For this one I’m also going with another recent read; In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren. While this isn’t my usual genre it did have a favorite trope of mine! Reliving the same day (or week) over and over again. It’s always so much fun and that was the case here as well. I really enjoyed the book and I will definitely read more Christina Lauren books in the future.
I think I have to go with either Grayson Hawthorne from The Inheritance Games or Andrew Minyard from the All For the Game series. And yes I know these aren’t ‘good’ characters but we are talking about sexy! And they are both VERY SEXY! I can’t wait for the next book in the Inheritance Games series.
This is the first question where I had to change the date; so this is best moment of 2020. You’d think there weren’t that many moments to choose from haha. It will have to be either the moment my friends showed up at my work so surprise me with a party for my thirtieth birthday or the moment I got a 9 out of 10 in the assessment of my internship!
Jane from My Calamity Jane was so silly but also so funny. I really liked reading about her and the book in general was great! This was the perfect way to end the Janies series and I can’t wait for us to move on to the Maries. These authors are amazing and I hope they pick another historical figure after the Maries.
Candyce is clearly the social one of the two of us haha. She makes friends all over the internet and does a great job of staying in touch. I just dip in and out every now and then but I can’t really say I made any new friends unfortunately. This last year I’ve been so busy and I had trouble staying in touch with the friends I already have, let alone any new ones ;). Maybe in 2021 though!
This is the second question where I changed the date, so this will be first book in 2021. I never really plan which book will be my first read of the year. At this point it could be anything! But since I’ve been eyeing it for awhile, it might be The Good Girls by Claire Eliza Bartlett. I’ve been loving mystery novels even more than usual and I can’t wait to read this one.
This was the New Year’s Eve book tag! It was a short but fun tag and I liked thinking about some of the books I read in 2020. Do you have a book you want to start 2021 off with? Let me know in the comments down below!
