Another month is over which means it’s time to take a look at the books we added to our shelves this month. Are we happy with what we got? Were we good or is our bank account mad at us? Keep on reading our November bookhaul to find out!
Candyce
November was actually a pretty good month for me. I added 8 books to my collection this month: 4 I bought myself (1 from my Illumicrate subscription) and 4 I received in the Halloween swap I participated in at the end of October. Let’s take a look!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue – V.E. Schwab
Illumicrate announced that this book would be in their October box quite awhile ago and I was so excited about that. I’ve seen a lot of gorgeous versions of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and really love this one as well. I’m 30% into this book and need to continue quickly.
Shadows of Winterspell – Amy Wilson
I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I participate in a monthly middle grade book club (Middle Grade Marvels). This month the winner was Shadows of Winterspell. I have to say this cover is stunning. I love middle grade covers. As I’m typing this, I’m halfway through the story and loving it! I’ll definitely want to read more by Amy Wilson.
Boyfriend Material – Alexis Hall
Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes and Boyfriend Material definitely fits that criteria. It’s also been a book I’ve had my eye on since it released in July. There have been quite a few positive reviews and I love this illustrated cover!
Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily – Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
As you know if you’ve been following us, I’m a lover of everything Christmas, haha. I’ve read the first two books in this series and plan on watching the Netflix show for the first book soon. I actually only recently learned about this release, but I’ll definitely be reading it in December.
As I mentioned, I participated in a Halloween swap. I was going to do an unboxing, but totally forgot about it. So here’s a picture of everything in the box. I was definitely spoiled and had so much fun unwrapping everything.
Dead Voices – Katherine Arden
Small Spaces has definitely made the list of my favorite middle grade books and I’ve been wanting to read Dead Voices since I knew about it. The paperback finally released, so I could add it to my list. I’ll be making this book a priority soon!
The Damned – Renee Ahdieh
I still need to read The Beautiful, but I know I’m going to love it. Also, these covers are stunning! Hopefully having this one physically will motivate me to read these two sooner. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things so far.
Unravel the Dusk – Elizabeth Lim
Spin the Dawn is another book I really loved this year!! This author created such a magical world and I’m so excited about Unravel the Dusk. A friend of mine just recently finished this and said it was amazing. I seriously don’t have enough time for everything I need and want to read.
The Game – Linsey Miller
Mystery and thrillers are genres I’ve been enjoying recently and when I saw The Game it sounded like a book I’d like. The Game isn’t that long, so I think I could read it in one sitting. I may just need to do that soon.
Isabelle
I managed to stay clear from (online) bookstores in November! It was a pretty close call to be honest haha. But Candyce and I are doing Christmas boxes for each other and I have sooooo many books to read, so I want to try and get through them a bit more before buying more books. I haven’t been reading as much as usual either it makes sense not to spend as much.
So those are the books we got in November. Have you read any of them? What new books did you get? We’d love to hear from you in the comments!
Ohh great haul! I hope you enjoy your books. Dead Voices was amazing! Definitely curious about The Game, that one is on my list. Can’t wait to read your review for it. 🙂

I’ve seen SpDash and Lilly advertised on Netflix and was curious about it. Had no idea the show was from a book. Now I’m even more intrigued. Great book haul!
I really should stop reading book hauls when I’m temporarily banned from buying new books (self-imposed) but I can’t help it! Nice haul 🙂

I feel like no one talked about the new Dash & Lily until suddenly it was out. I generally check for upcoming new releases by favorite authors and especially in series that I enjoy, but I didn’t see anything about the 3rd book until it was suddenly there. And the Netflix series is super cute and pretty true to the book.

Nice haul 🙂 I really want to read The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue and Spin the Dawn, I hope book 2 is good.
I’m really loving middle grade books these days, and I need to read more! I LOVED Boyfriend Material when I read it last year, so I hope you do too.

I’ve seen so many of these around Twitter and bookstores! I’m particularly interested in Boyfriend Material. It seems to pop up whenever I’m looking up stuff about Red, White & Royal Blue.
