Candyce and I wrote a couple of blogposts about the book series we are reading or really want to read. And I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the series I’m reading and are actually caught up with! When I came up with this idea, I was caught up with a lot more than I am currently… To be honest, I’m afraid to look haha. Let’s look together!
I only picked series with at least two books published!
Villains – V.E. Schwab
2 books published
As you hopefully know by now, I adore V.E. Schwab and try to read everything she writes. At this moment she has two ongoing series out and the first one is the Villains series. It’s going to be a couple of years probably before the final book releases. Vicious was published in 2013 and Vengeful in 2018, so I’m expecting the last book in 2023 haha.
Wayward Children – Seanan McGuire
5 books published
I really love this series of magical novella’s. They’re published by Tor.com, one of my favourite publishers. I rated all of these novella’s between 4 and 5 stars and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Hopefully this will be a very long series <3. We have reviews for almost all of the books in the series on our blog (book 1, book 2, book 3 & book 5)
Cassidy Blake – Victoria Schwab
2 books published
This is Victoria Schwab’s other ongoing series and I can’t wait for the next book; Bridge of Souls. I really like that title! These book all take place in different cities and I love the places Victoria picked. Book 1 was in Edinburgh, book 2 in Paris and book 3 will be in New Orleans. This books also have gorgeous covers!
Hometown Antihero – Amber Lynn Natusch
2 books published
Amber stole my heart with this series! I wish more people would read these incredible books with a Veronica Mars inspired MC. These books have a super excited arc and I just can’t wait to find out what happens next. Candyce participated in the blogtour for the first book and we both did for the blogtour for the second book.
Something Dark and Holy – Emily A. Duncan
2 books published
I was lucky to get an eARC of both books through Netgalley. The first book was such a pleasant surprise! I loved that debut and was intrigued by the world. The second book was a bit harder to get into, possibly because my expectations were so high haha. However, I still gave it a very high rating and I can’t wait for the last book!
Simon Snow – Rainbow Rowell
2 books published
Fangirl is one of my favorite books ever, and it also gave us a first look at Simon Snow. I really liked that part of the book and was pretty excited to actually get a Simon Snow book! We’ve gotten two Simon Snow books so far and next summer the last book releases.
A Song of Ice and Fire – George R.R. Martin
5 books published
Haha, I had to include this one. I read the 5 books that are published and I really hope we get the last two before he dies. To be honest, I don’t think I’ll read anything else by him until he finishes this series haha.
It’s not that many but actually more than I thought before I started writing this post! Are you caught up with a lot of series? And have you read any of mine? Hopefully we can keep this up!
I had no idea that the Wayward Children series had so many books! I’m reading Every Heart a Doorway this month so we’ll see if I like it enough to continue!
Yes, and the next one will be out in January I believe! They’re super quick reads so you’ll fly through the series if you end up liking the first one 😀
