I’m going on a trip next week, a Corona-proof trip I promise. And of course I need to take some books with me. It’s always difficult to pick which books I want to read so I usually bring to many. But I like to have some choices haha! So let’s see which books I plan on taking with me.
House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J. Maas
I already read a pretty big chunk of these one but I still haven’t finished it. What I read so far was very enjoyable and I’m excited to continue this book. I’m sure I’ll read it in no time once I start it again.
Wildcard – Marie Lu
Another one I already started, and I was actually further along than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised by Warcross but I kept delaying my read of Wildcard. When making this list, I really wanted to include a sci-fi read and it would be nice to finish a book I already started and a series at the same time.
The Bromance Bookclub – Lyssa Kay Adams
This is the last book I’m bringing that I’m already in the middle of. It’s also the only contemporary read haha. I really liked the chapter I read so far and I’m excited to continue this read. Candyce adored this one and I’m pretty sure it will be a highly rated read for me too.
Slay – Brittney Morris
I got this book last month and Candyce and I decided that this was going to be our next buddy read. The reviews for Slay are very good and I’m so excited for this read. This book is mostly about the gaming community and I can’t wait to dive into that.
This Is How You Lose the Time War – Amal Al-Mohtar & Max Gladstone
I wanted to add another sci-fi read when my eye fell on this one. It’s a pretty short read and I’ve heard fantastic things. As the title suggests it has to do with time traveling and I just love that as a concept. I’m excited to find out how it’s executed in this story.
Good Girl, Bad Blood – Holly Jackson
I finished A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder last night and I’m excited to pick up the sequel! Pip was a great character to read about and the mystery was intriguing. I hope the mystery in the sequel will be just as intriguing and the read just as fast.
The Merciful Crow – Margaret Owen
The last book I added was the Merciful Crow. I’ve been wanting to read this one for quite a while and this seems like the perfect moment to finally do so. Hopefully this one can live up to my expectations. And if so, the sequel will be out soon so I can continue the series right away!
Of course I also have all my ebooks with me so there will be plenty to read. And we have a bunch of other books at the house. But I really hope to read these 7 books during the week I’ll be in France. Do you think I will manage it? And which book should I pick up first? Let me know in the comments!
I really liked the bromance book club so that I can highly recommend. Have not read any of the other ones. I hope that your vacation will be fantastic!
Thank you! I can’t wait to dive back into The Bromance Bookclub <3
