Looking Back at Our Bookhauls| April 2019

As booklovers we both love buying books. That got us thinking… do we actually read the books we buy? That’s how this Looking Back at Our Bookhauls idea got started. It can be quite interesting to see what we’ve actually read and can mke you run to your shelves to pick up the books you forgot about. Today let’s look back at our haul from April 2019! How did we do?

I can take a breathe this month, haha. I actually forgot that I didn’t add any new books to my collection in April 2019. So there was nothing for me to have read when it came to new books. Hopefully May 2019 isn’t really bad!

I was a good girl as well! In April 2019 I only got 2 new books, not bad at all. April in general seems to be a pretty good month for us, this year I didn’t buy any books in April! It’s probably because we get so many new books in March for our birthdays haha.

The Devouring Gray – Christine Lynn Herman

Unfortunately I still haven’t read this one yet! I really wanted to read and I have been close to picking it up a couple of times actually. However, I currently don’t have it at home because we’re using it in a project haha. The sequel was released last month so I guess the only upside is that I can bingeread the books once I do read it 😉

Nexus – Sasha Alsberg & Lindsay Cummings

Yay, I did read one! I got this book for a blogtour and thought it was very cool that I got an actual copy. This is the sequel to Zenith and I thought this duology was a fun one. No it’s not the best story out there but I think this could be a nice intro to sci-fi for new readers!

End Result
TBR: 1/2 – 50%
Read: 1/2 – 50%

That’s Looking Back at Our Bookhauls for this month! Are you good at reading the books you add to your shelves? Let us know in the comments!

  1. I didn’t really have a chance to buy any books in April, but I have a shortlist going for ones I want to get in May to help support some local bookstores.

  2. Wait, I just noticed this says 2019. And my tired brain thought the same book had been posted for a second because the blues are so similar. I’ve been slow to read new books for the last couple of months. Hoping to get into a groove now that the weather is better.
