Wishlist Wednesday | Romance Edition

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner it seemed like the perfect time to do a Wishlist Wednesday – romance edition! This week is the perfect time to read some romance stories even if you don’t do so that often. Today we want to share some of the romance books on our wishlists.

I actually read a lot of romance, but still have plenty on my wishlist. Here are a few romance books that I’ve recently heard about or have been on my wishlist for quite some time! Let’s take a look at the ones I really want to read soon and can hopefully add to my collection!

The Princess and the Fangirl – Ashley Poston

Geekerella is still one of my favorite contemporary books! I love the whole fandom factor that plays a bit part in this story. I’m actually really surprised I don’t own this one yet. The cover for the third book releasing later this year was just released, so I need to hurry up with this one!

Wasted Words – Staci Hart

I’ve read one or two books by Staci Hart and have enjoyed what I’ve read. The author recently did a cover change for this series and it sounds really good. These stories are inspired by romantic classics. That sounds like something I really need.

Throw Like a Girl – Sarah Henning

Friday Night Lights meets The Unexpected Everything is something that sounds perfect! Add some sports elements and a little romance and I’m sold. I’ve read something by this author before and really enjoyed her writing! Throw Like a Girl sounds like the perfect book to read on Valentine’s Day.

Say You Still Love Me – K.A. Tucker

This author has so many books I still want to read, but Say You Still Love Me sounds really interesting. Reconnecting with your first love so many years later is known to create some interesting situations in stories. Knowing K.A. Tucker, this book will take us on an emotional ride.

The Worst Best Man – Mia Sosa

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes to read. This one will be interesting with the ex-fiance’s brother, but it sounds like a lot of fun. May be a disaster waiting to happen though. I expect to read a lot of laugh out loud moments!

The Long Distance Playlist – Tara Eglington

As soon as I read this story would mostly be text messages, e-mails, etc. I didn’t even need to read any further. I love stories like this! The Long Distance Playlist also sounds like an emotional read. Both characters have things they’re dealing with and seem to find support with the other. This is definitely on the top of my wishlist!

I don’t read romance that often as you probably know, but every now and then I like to read some cute romance stories. There are a couple of books on my TBR with a romance plot, so let’s see which ones I would like to get. Just be warned, there are a ton of pink covers haha.

Heartstopper volume 3 – Alice Oseman

I absolutely adored the first two volumes of Heartstopper and I really need this third volume. At this point I think this might be number one on my bookish wishlist. This story is so cute and I love these boys to pieces. I just know I will love this next installment with all my heart and I might just go ahead and order it today, haha. Last year I read Hearstopper on Valentine’s Day and I might like to do the same thing this year <3

Well Met – Jen DeLuca

This is an adult romance, not something I read often! But this one does sound like it has some elements I would really enjoy. This story takes place at a Renaissance Fair and has the enemies-to-lovers trope. My friends seem to quite like this one and it gets good reviews. If I pick up an adult romance, this is probably the first one I would pick up!

Prince Charming – Rachel Hawkins

I love reading about royals! This series has been recommend to fans of Red, White and Royal Blue and I absolutely adored that book. I especially like that it has to do with Scottish royals. This sounds like a quick and really fun book. Especially the type of books I like to read when I crave a little romance. The second book got  high praise and I hope the series can live up to my expectations.

A Match Made in Mehendi – Nandini Bajpai

This sounds hilarious and really cute! Indian vichole-matchmakers, a match making app and a high school hierarchy turned upside down. I think this will be a really fun story. There aren’t that many reviews on Goodreads yet unfortunately but it sounds like my kind of contemporary story.

If I’m Being Honest – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund -Broka

This is a retelling of the Taming of the Shrew and it has gotten some really got reviews. My friends seem to really like this one and I quite like the sounds of the synopsis. Also, the authors are engaged in real life and I think that is the cutest thing ever!

Listen to Your Heart РKasie West

I’ve read and enjoyed a couple of Kasie West stories now and I think every romance wishlist needs at least one Kasie West on it. This one has to do with a podcast and I’ve recently discovered podcasts myself. I just know this will be a cute story, although it will also be pretty predictable. It still will be a quick fun ride!

So these are some of the romance books we want to add to our collection! If you’ve read any of them, we’d love to know your opinion! What romances are on your wishlist? Let us know in the comments.
