Looking Back At Our Bookhauls | November 2018

Our November bookhaul this year was a lot bigger than we wanted it to be, haha. With Christmas almost upon us we know we’ll get a ton of books so we try to slow down in the months before. Last year we both managed to keep our bookhaul small, but the big question now is; did we actually read the books this time? Lets take a look at our November 2018 Bookhaul!

These posts are always ones that I’m afraid to write, haha. Especially with the bigger hauls it’s hard to see how much I haven’t read yet. I have read more from my backlist than last year, so these posts do seem to help. Last November I only bought three books, so let’s see which ones I’ve already read!

The Light Between Worlds – Laura E. Weymouth

I read this one last November, because it was a group read for TBR and Beyond. Laura definitely has a way with words. Even though this book was a bit confusing, I did enjoy the story. On top of that, look at this amazing cover!!

Girls of Paper and Fire – Natasha Ngan

This is actually pretty sad, I just talked about the sequel in the November book haul for this year. I still haven’t read this one yet, but do really want to read both of them in the near future.

Little White Lies – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I read this one just in time. Last month, Little White Lies kept on staring at me when I walked by my bookcase. Once I started, I couldn’t put this book down. Jennifer Lynn Barnes is an author that in my eyes deserves more hype than she gets. I love her stories!

Last year I was a very good girl in November so there are only a couple of books to look back on. I’m already super afraid of December’s post, because we all now that will be a crazy one haha. Like Candyce, I read more backlist books this year than last year and I hope to continue that trend.

I Hate Fairyland Volume 4: Sadly Never After – Skottie Young

The I Hate Fairyland series was one of the first graphic novels I ever read and I continued with the series ever since. Last year the final volume released and I read it right away I believe. It was a very bitterweet ending to a hilarious series that I will forever treasure.

Monstress Volume 3: Haven – Marjorie Lu & Sana Sakeda

I can’t believe I still haven’t read this! The first two volumes were very enjoyable with gorgeous art. However they were also a bit hard, a lot of characters look alike and the story is somewhat complicated. I do plan on reading this one fairly soon, the fourth volume recently released so I’d like to read both back to back.

The Bane Chronicles – Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan & Maureen Johnson

I already read most of the stories in this bindup as ebooks but found it for a great price online. And there were 2 stories only available in the book, so I finally got to read those two when I got this one. Of course I did so right away and I’m happy I did. These books are still fun and I’m looking forward to the new series.

We actually both did pretty good this time! Have you read any of these yet? What did you think? We’d love to hear from you!
