Bookish Item | TisTheSeasonAThon TBR

Even though we’ve been really bad at sticking to reading books for readathons, we want to give it another go this year. When we saw the announcement for TisTheSeasonAThon both of knew it was something we wanted to do. It starts this Sunday, so today it’s time for our TisTheSeasonAThon TBR!

TisTheSeasonAThon will be starting on December 2nd and running through December 8th. In the image below you can see the prompts we will be reading for during this week!

Snow on the Cover: If I’m totally honest, I actually forgot I had a digital ARC for It Won’t Be Christmas Without You by Beth Reekles. This readathon is the perfect opportunity to get this one done! And it has snowflakes on the cover, so it works.

Holiday Themed Book: For this prompt, I’ll be reading the novella The Way Back by Taylor Danae Colbert. This is a Christmas novella and I’m really excited. I’ve loved all of the books this author has written, so a holiday story from her is something I need. This novella actually releases on December 3rd, so I’ll be starting this readathon with this one!

Book You Received as a Gift: One Day in December is a book I’ve already read, but actually received for Christmas last year. This one will also be a TBR & Beyond group read and I want to refresh my memory before the discussion.

Read While Eating Your Fave Holiday Treat: In December I will definitely be making some holiday treats! Tis the season after all. While eating my favorite holiday treats, I’ll be reading Get A Life, Chlow Brown. I have heard nothing but amazing things about this one and it also happens to be the group read for TBR & Beyond!

Book Title Related to Music: I asked for help when it came to this one, haha. And I soon came to realize, I was thinking way too hard. Carry On is related to music and I’ve been wanting to reread this one so bad! I’m going to give myself the opportunity now!

Bonus: Buddy Read – 10 Blind Dates By Ashley Elston I have actually been wanting to read this one since I heard about it! had a major sale not too long ago and I was able to get my copy really cheap! I would’ve gotten it anyway, but this worked out well for me, haha.

Snow on the Cover: I had to do some shelf searching for this one! But it turns out I recently bought the perfect book for it. And I needed an excuse to read this one soon, so I can start watching the new tv show. I have been wanting to read this series for so long now and with the tv show starting recently I’m finally getting to it. Also really like the cover I got for this one.

Holiday Themed Book: Since we’re allowed to double up on books, I’m going to use the group book for this prompt as well. 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston sounds super cute and I’m having a hard time leaving it unread for this readathon haha. I recently read This Is Our Story by Ashley, and while that is a completely different kind of book it did make me excited to read more by her.

Book You Received as a Gift: I hope to finally pick up Spellslinger by Sebastien de Castell. This was a Christmas gift for Christmas 2017 so it’s been a while haha. I’ve heard a ton of good things about this series and I hope it will live up to my expectations.

Read While Eating Your Fave Holiday Treat: Another one I’m going to double up on! It could be any of the books I mentioned and I will be eating the Christmas chocolates that are in the form of a wreath and are filled. I’ll insert a picture so you can hopefully see what I mean! These are the best holiday treats and I could eat them all day, every day!

Book Title Related to Music: I totally borrowed Candyce’s idea for this one! We have been planning on rereading Carry On before reading Wayward Son so we don’t miss anything of the story. I’m also just really excited to read Carry On again because I remember really enjoying the story!

Bonus: Buddy Read – 10 Blind Dates By Ashley Elston Like I said, I’m really excited to read this one! Every once in a while I like to read cute contemporary stories and I think this will be a new favorite. I’m already in a Christmas mood and I can’t wait to read a Christmas story <3

So these are our choices for TisTheSeasonAThon! If you’re participating, we would love to know what you’ll be reading! Also, if you’ve read any of these books, let us know your thoughts in the comments. It’s still hard to believe Christmas is near, but so much fun!
