Tag| Twas The Night Before Christmas Book Tag

A good friend of ours, Kwante, from Kwante in Wonderland created a fun tag based on The Nightmare Before Christmas. I couldn’t resist participating in Twas The Nightmare Before Christmas Book Tag. A big thanks to Kwante for making this tag and all of the images I’m using today!

Tithe by Holly Black just isn’t my book. Not much happens during the first half of the book and I was getting pretty bored with it. I couldn’t pick it up when I was tired, because it really was going to make me fall asleep. Tithe would’ve been a better fit if I had had read it when it was first released. It’s clear that this story was released awhile ago!

I have felt this way while reading a lot of books! The last book that really made me feel this way was Swtichback by Danika Stone. Two teens have to survive in some pretty harsh conditions and there are many moments that had me on the edge of my seat while reading! I don’t think I would’ve done as well as the two main characters.

Harry Potter is the first book that always comes to mind when I have to name a magical book, haha. To keep stuff like this a bit more interesting, I’ll choose something else. Nevermoor is another amazing magical read. I get a lot of Harry Potter vibes, but in an unique way. The third book is releasing in February 2020 and I’m so excited!

There are a lot of twinkle eyed characters that have made me very happy. One I recently loved was Iker from Girl in Luv. Even though this wasn’t my favorite romance, I loved his character. This really makes me wish these books were longer!

Last week I read Exiled to Freedom and it took me on an adventure. This book brought me to Punjab. It’s awful what happened here in the past, but I think it’s really important that this author told this story. She even based it on a true story!

The first creature to come to mind is Abraxos from the Throne of Glass series. His personality is amazing and even though he started out as the weakest, Abraxos turned out to be a strong and amazing creature!

In The Trouble with Christmas, one of the main characters, Joshua, is more than meets the eye. He seems like a grump and very arrogant, but in the end there is just a lot of hurt behind his behavior. After a few hard moments in life, he tried pushing everything and everyone away. Suzanne slowly melts down his walls with holiday spirit!

The Kiss Me trilogy by Emma Hart made me laugh so much! I love the characters and how real they feel. No perfect romances and there are definitely bumps along the road. Add pet racoons and these books will keep a smile on your face!

Harry Potter is a series that will always make me feel safe. I don’t know what it is about them, but just reading about Hogwarts makes me feel at home. I can’t wait to pick these books up and read them all over again.

Even though I really loved Nevernight and I’m enjoying Godsgrave, these books need my full attention. Jay Kristoff has a very unique writing style in this world and it is a lot to take in at times! I need to make to time to continue reading this trilogy!

Through Her Eyes had an ending I did not see coming!! This was a pretty intense book and not always easy to read, but it’s so good!! I’m always impressed when authors are able to shock me at the end of a book. I don’t always guess the mysteries, but things like this are normally predictable! I can’t wait to see what this author will do next!

Happy Halloween to everyone that celebrates! Feel free to do this tag if you are interested,  just don’t forget to tag Kwante! And me of course, I would love to see your answers! Are you dressing up this year? Let me know in the comments!
