Like we say every month, how is this month just about over? There are two months left in this year and that’s still surprising. We’ve had quite a few months filled with a lot of amazing new releases, will this upcoming month be any different? Let’s take a look at our anticipated November releases to find out!
The Guinevere Deception – Kiersten White (November 5th)
I haven’t read anything by Kiersten yet, but do have two of her series on my TBR. This one might have to go straight to the top though! The Guinevere Deception is an Arthurian reimagining with Guinevere as a changeling. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?
Songs from the Deep – Kelly Powell (November 5th)
Okay this sounds amazing! This is a murder mystery set on an island where sirens lurk along the shores. I love murder mysteries and I really need to read more books about mermaids or sirens. This might’ve even come up in another blogpost I think.
Winterwood – Shea Ernshaw (November 5th)
The Wicked Deep was one of my favorite books last year and I’ve been looking forward to Winterwood ever since I heard about it! On top of an amazing cover, the story sounds amazing. Winterwood sounds like it’s going to be another dark story that sucks you in from the start.
Tears of Frost – Bree Barton (November 5th)
I received Heart of Thorns for my birthday this year, but haven’t read it yet. I have a feeling I’m going to love it though, so the sequel is definitely on my radar. Also, the cover for Tears of Frost is stunning!
Sick Kids in Love – Hannah Moskowitz (November 5th)
I read Gena/Finn by this author a few years ago and really enjoyed it! After seeing this book around and people talking about it, I’ve definitely become curious. I was thinking it would be more like A Fault in Our Stars, but people say it’s more lighthearted than that. I have an ARC, so keep an eye on the blog for a review!
The Starless Sea – Erin Morgenstern (November 5th)
I have wanted to read The Night Circus for quite awhile, but as usual, I get distracted by other books, haha. A timeless love story set in a secret underground world is all I needed to read to be interested. The Starless Sea is really hyped, so I’m going to go in without any expectations!
Supernova – Marissa Meyer (November 5th)
I really loved Renegades, the start of this series. It was a 5 star read with an amazing cliffhanger, and I can’t believe I still haven’t read the second book. I think it’s because the hardcover is so expensive haha, but since Supernova is coming out soon, I think I should change that haha. Great sci-fi story where it isn’t so black and white who the good and the bad guys are.
The Toll – Neal Shusterman (November 5th)
I read Scythe awhile ago and loved it! Thunderhead has been on my TBR ever since, but after hearing so many people complain about the cliffhanger, I’ve been waiting. The third and final book is finally here, so I can read both back to back once The Toll is out in the world.
Find Me Their Bones – Sara Wolf (November 5th)
Bring Me Their Hearts is the first book in this series/duology and I’ve wanted to read it since it released. I ended up with an ARC of this one, so will have to read both ASAP, haha. The story sounds really interesting though. A few people I know enjoyed the first book, so I am excited to start.
Girls of Storm and Shadow – Natasha Ngan (November 5th)
We both have an eARC for this one! And we also both still need to read the first book, which we planned on doing last month… These covers are gorgeous and everyone has been raving about the first book. So you can bet we’ll read the first one soon so we can dive into the second one right away.
The How and the Why – Cynthia Hand (November 5th)
Cynthia Hand is one of the authors that wrote My Lady Jane and a few of her own books have been on my radar. The How and the Why being one of them. I have a feeling this one if going to be very emotional, but beautiful!
The Bromance Book Club – Lyssa Kay Adams (November 5th)
I heard about this book a few months ago and since then I’ve wanted to read it! A book about a group of men that come together and read romance, thinking that they’ll be able to solve their relationship problems that way. I can’t wait to see how it plays out and I love the cover!!
Get a Life, Chloe Brown – Talia Hibbert (November 5th)
Romance covers are starting to get a brand new feel and I love the way it’s going. Instead of people on covers we get drawings. Get a Life, Chloe Brown has such a fun cover. On top of that, this book sounds amazing. I love when the main characters aren’t perfect. Chronically ill characters isn’t something that’s seen often, so I’m excited!
Call Down the Hawk – Maggie Stiefvater (November 5th)
I love love love the Raven Cycle series by Maggie and I have been waiting for this spin-off for quite a while now. While Gansey was my favorite, Ronan was a very close second, and possibly also the most interesting character. I love the whole dream-thing and I can’t wait to read more about that so naturally I preordered this one!
The Sky Weaver – Kristen Ciccarelli (November 12th)
Another one where I loved the first book, but haven’t read the second yet. I do own the second book though! And I just preordered this because Kristen is one of those amazing authors who do international preorder campaigns. You get 7 gorgeous character cards and now I’m even more excited to dive back into this world.
The Queen of Nothing – Holly Black (November 19th)
This is probably the biggest release on anyone’s mind right now! We both haven’t read the Cruel Prince yet, shame on us. So we’re not sure about this one at the moment, but if we’ll love it as most of the YA community seems to do, at least we’ll be able to binge read all three of them!
Blood Heir – Amélie Wen Zhao (November 19th)
There was so much controversy about this book that the author pulled it the first time and I feel extremely bad for her. The story sounds amazing and I will definitely buy this book! While I love the YA community in most regards, it can also become quite toxic and I really hate what happened here. Hopefully people will give this one a fair change and make up their own minds about the story.
Starsight – Brandon Sanderson (November 26th)
Yet again, I still need to read to the first book, but I know it’s going to be one I love! Brandon Sanderson is an author I really need to start reading, because I keep hearing amazing things about his books!
The Gentleman’s Guide to Getting Lucky – Mackenzi Lee (November 26th)
At first, this was a novella only available for the readers that preordered The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy. A lot of people asked for it and it’s finally be published. I still need to read this duology, but I know I’m going to want this novella on my bookshelf!
It’s actually shocking how many books are releasing in Novemer. Normally November and December are the quietest months of the year. Anyways, these are the books we’re looking forward to! What about you? And if we missed any you think we need to know about, let us know in the comments!
I cannot WAIT for The Starless Sea!
As a title, The Gentleman’s Guide to Getting Lucky, makes me apprehensive — it sounds like a reddit forum. But seeing that it’s paired with another novel, it gets more interesting. 😉
Yeah, it’s paired with two books, so it’s not as awful as it sounds, haha.
I’m SO pumped for The Starless Sea!!
So many great titles! I loved Chloe Brown and Bromance Book Club
The Starless Sea is also on my wishlist!
I really hope I can pick up a copy of The Starless Sea at the airport!
Fingers crossed you can 😀
I didn’t know they were publishing The Gentleman’s Guide to Getting Lucky!!!! That is super exciting 😀 I am glad you put it on your list! Thanks 🙂
