Review| The Two Week Arrangement – Kendall Ryan

Kendall Ryan is really a writing machine and her newest book, The Two Week Arrangement, was released this week. Today I want to tell you what I thought about this book. A big thanks to the author for providing me an ARC to read and review!

A steamy romance about a sexy (but emotionally broken) single dad and the smart, driven (doesn’t take no for an answer) intern who makes him feel things he has no business feeling.

About The Two-Week Arrangement

Dear Sexy AF Intern,

I know you don’t particularly care that I’m the CEO of this company, and you’re just an intern. I also know you’re not impressed by my power or my wealth, and that’s fine.

You think you’ve got me all figured out from working alongside me for two weeks, but you don’t know me. Not really.

You don’t know that I’m a single dad to twin toddlers, or that those two little girls matter more to me than this entire hotel chain.

I’m not interested in starting something deep and meaningful, but what I am interested in is the way your body reacts to mine when we’re in the same room. You probably assume the concentration on my face is work-related, when in reality, I’m figuring out which I want more–to nail you against the wall, or to bend you over my desk.

While you’re too disciplined to act on it, I’m not. And the night you stepped into my limo, all bets were off.

Review

The Two Week Arrangement in the first book in the Penthouse Affair. I will give you a fair warning from the start, make sure to have the second book ready when you finish this one. Luckily that one releases at the end of June, but the ending of this book really leaves you wanting more!

We meet Dominic, the CEO of Aspen Hotels. He’s basically got everything he could ask for career wise. Love is something he has time for between work and taking care of his two little girls. I have to say reading about a single dad is very swoon-worthy. I loved the moments he’s with his girls and how sweet they are. I definitely wouldn’t of said no to more time reading about that. He’s very protective of his daughters and keeping his private life private. At this time he has no room for love!

Peyton just graduated and is ready to start her career. I think Peyton is one of my favorites out of all of this author’s characters. She’s smart, determined, works hard and family is everything. Peyton will do anything in her power to make sure her brother can follow his dream. Paying his tuition is up to her, so she really needs everything to work out. Even though Peyton is really serious and dedicated, she’s also a bit quirky. She made me laugh out loud quite a few times.

The chemistry is there clear from the start between Peyton and Dominic. I loved seeing them fight it and trying to stay professional. This definitely gave us readers some funny moments that could be pretty awkward. Of course there was a dangerous line to cross if they took things further than intern and CEO. I was definitely cheering them on!

The Two Week Arrangement is pretty short though. I loved how the ending worked. I mean, losing trust and seeing Peyton do what she did definitely shocked me. Before this moment, I would’ve liked to have seen some more time between Dominic and Peyton, maybe even with his little girls. The ending felt a bit rushed for me because of that.

All in all, another steamy and swoon-worthy read by this author. I did not see the ending coming and I can’t wait to see how this all plays out for Peyton and Dominic!

The Two Week Arrangement was a bit different than I was used to, but I really enjoyed this story. After reading the last page I needed the next book! Luckily Seven Nights of Sin will be out there before we know it. Have you read this book? What did you think?
