Isabelle posted about rereading books not too long ago and it’s something I’ve been thinking about as well. Today I’m going to talk about how I feel of diving back into the world of my favorite books.
As we’ve mentioned a few times on the blog, Isabelle and I are reading Throne of Glass again to prepare for the release of the last book. It’s the third time for me (with an exception with Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn).
I always feel guilty rereading a book when I have so many unread books in my bookcase. For me it’s going to be a goal to let myself reread more of my favorite books. Rereading Throne of Glass reminds me again why I love diving back into a book. Little details I missed the first time pop out, certain events make more sense and I have realized I forget a lot about a book.
Reading so many books in a year makes it hard to remember everything about a book. I remember the major stuff, but the little details are what make a book amazing! Besides Throne of Glass the only other series I have read more than once are Twilight and Harry Potter.
Just like Isabelle, I think I will make rereading books a goal next year. Maybe that will make me feel less guilty about picking up a book I have already read before, haha.
There are some books I definitely want to reread next year:
- Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout
- Harry Potter (I need my fix of this world, haha).
- The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare
- Fangirl & Carry On – Rainbow Rowell
These are only a few that come to mind now. I wanted to write this post, so I will start thinking about what I want to reread. Maybe even make myself more excited about starting my rereading journey!
So now I am curious, do you reread books? If you do, what book have you reread the most?
