As you all know I am a big fan of Kendall Ryan. To be honest, I’m still shocked about how many books she has already given us this year. I won’t complain though, because I love reading her book. Mister Tonight is her latest release and today I get to share my review for this amazing book. This book gave us everything we’re used to getting from this author: humor, romance, sexy moments and a book that leaves a smile on our faces.
From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a standalone romance about a swoony single dad and the new neighbor he falls for.
Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.
I was THAT girl.
You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth with her two best friends—the ones who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.
By reckless, I meant the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, and handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I’d had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I’m not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like French fries, so there’s that.
He took me home and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life, well until it came to a screeching, and rather unwelcome halt.
There’s nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking:
“What are you doing to my daddy?”
Just kill me now…… or so I thought.
Come to find out the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.

Review
Cover For once I honestly think they got it right with the model on the cover of Mister Tonight. This tall, dark and handsome model is how I picture Hunter!
Plot This book is everything that I needed at this moment! Kate is turning 30 and wants a wild night. She doesn’t see herself settling down and being married. After seeing how love van go wrong, it’s not something she’s looking for. Hunter is tall, dark and handsome and just what Kate is looking for. I loved how they clicked from the start. Their connection was definitely lust at first sight, haha. This night took a turn neither of them were expecting. What Kate didn’t know was that Hunter has a daughter. I was laughing out loud when the little girl walks in and asks Kate what she is doing to her Daddy, haha. Kendall wrote this scene perfectly. Of course the apartment Kate goes to look at the next day is above Hunter’s garage. Fate had to bring them together one way or another, haha. I haven’t read many single father romances, but I think this was a good start. Hunter is an amazing father to his little girl and I love how much she was involved in this book. In a lot of romances, the children are mentioned, but that’s about it. It was fun to see the bond Kate eventually had with the little girl. It was clear that there was an attraction between them and that the deal they make wouldn’t cut it. Things started out slowly and that was nice for a change. Another thing I loved was the fact it wasn’t as angsty as a lot of romances are. Once they decide to try things out, there is no makor drama afterwards. That was pretty nice for a change!
Characters Kate writes gossip columns and is otherwise happy with how things are going. When she needs to find a new apartment, it just happens to be above her one night stand’s house. It seemed like something that would only happen to her. Kate only sees herself as a person for some wild nights, but not settling down. She saw how loving someone turned out for people she knows and decided that wasn’t for it. Hunter wasn’t something Kate was expecting. During the book Kate’s walls slowly disappear and she opens up to the idea of falling in love and settling down. Hunter’s little girl grows on her and she loves doing things to make them both happy. Kate turns out to have more love to give than she realizes.
Hunter is a single father. Kate’s mother didn’t want to stick around. Just like Kate, he didn’t seem himself settling anytime soon. Most woman go running when they find out he has a daughter. And that’s one thing really important to him, his daughter. They’re a packaged deal! I loved that about him. His family was number one. I really thought he deserved love though and he was willing to give Kate a try. Just like Kate, Hunter’s walls slowly lowered and he was ready for love.
