THE WRIGHT SECRET
By K.A. Linde
Release Day – Jan 9, 2018
A new brother’s-best-friend stand alone romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…
I was just his best friend’s little sister.
But he was always more than that to me.
After twelve years of pining over Patrick’s easy smile, baby blues, and captivating charm, I decide to take matters into my own hands—and completely blow my chance.
Who knew a self-proclaimed manwhore would decide to be a gentleman the first time I’m naked in his bed? Definitely, not me. But when I land there again, neither of us has any intention of stopping.
There’s only one problem: nobody can know. Especially not my three older brothers. If they found out, all hell would break loose.
So I’m willing to keep our secret. Because I want him Wright here, right now.

Review
Plot Morgan has been working very hard to be able to be CEO at her family’s company. This is about to happen and after everything that has happened to her family, she’s happy and proud that she made it this far. Then there’s Patrick. Her brother’s best friend and a guy she’s had a crush on since she was a teenager. She’s never acted on it though, not only because her brother would probably never approve, but he’s never seem interested. Until now. She’s feeling some type of chemistry and since he’s given his two weeks notice, him working for her isn’t a problem anymore. Being drunk one night, something almost happens, but they both hesitate. They start sneaking around and want to take things slow. Before they tell anyone, they need to know for sure. They’re caught on accident a few times, but her brothers still don’t know. When he Uncle starts trying to put his nose where it doesn’t belong and she’s about to lose a big contract, her relationship is in danger! Will she allow herself to be committed to something else but work? What will her brothers do when they finally figure it out? And last but not least, will she have a job at the end of it all?
This book sucked me in from the beginning. Getting to read from both POVs helped a lot. I got to read about how both of them really felt and experienced things. To me that is really important in romance books. Another thing I loved about this book was that there was a woman in charge. Normally in romance books the man is really successful and the woman does well, but isn’t the CEO. K.A. Linde did a really good job with that. This author knew how to keep this book interesting. Between flirting, romance, humor and their worklife, there was a lot going on. It wasn’t a simple romance, but a full story with a lot going on. It was fun to see Morgan and Patrick trying to sneak in romantic moments without getting caught by her brothers. My favorite scene is when Patrick was leaving the bathroom after Morgan and he is seen and told he has lipstick on his face. That was hilarious. Even though the Wright family has a lot of issues, they are clearly a bunch that love eachother and family is important. I wouldn’t mind being a member. Their Uncle Owen wasn’t someone I trusted at all and I was right. As most other romance books we get the happily ever after, but I don’t think I would want it any other way. This is definitely one I want on my bookshelf. The way she wrote this book was amazing and I read the whole thing in less than a day. All romance lovers need to read this!
Characters Morgan is a confident business woman and has worked very hard to get where she is. She has a hard time finding a balance between work and a personal life. She skips meals and is at the office until late and even works weekends. She’s kind of a workaholic, but I guess you kind of have to be if you want to be CEO. Especially as a woman. Even in this story, it’s clear that women have to work harder to prove themselves then men. Morgan sees through people and knows her uncle is up to no good, but nobody believes her. This frustrates her very much. Morgan hasn’t really had many relationships and her crush for Patrick has never gone away. For such a confident woman, she is a bit insecure when it comes to her love life. I guess having older brothers doesn’t help much. Especially when the guy you want is your brother’s best friend! Haha.
Patrick kind of seems like your typical bachelor, who sleeps with tons of women, but doesn’t want to commit. He works hard though and his job is important to him. Having a best friend with an addiction has opened his eyes in many ways though and gets him thinking. While he loves the Wright family and thinks of them as his own, he wants his own career. This is why he decides to take another job. Everyone knew about Morgan’s crush, expect for him. He was pretty clueless, haha. When he does start noticing her and thinks she’s flirting with him, he starts doubting himself. Patrick notices Morgan in a different light, but knows it’s a bad idea seeing how she’s his best friend’s sister. He falls for her without realizing it and is very romantic. Patrick wants what is best for Morgan and doesn’t mind spoiling her. Before he even knows it, he can’t imagine not being with her. Patrick is definitely one for the bookboyfriend list!
