Any time a book has a bookish character (whether that be an author, reader, or influencer), I need to read it. In How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle our main character is a romance author trying to find her way back to believing in love. Sometimes you just need a feel good romance and it felt like I’d get that here. So today I want to tell you all about the book and what I thought.

If you’re a romance author, it’s kind of crucial to believe in love. Our main character Ainsley did at one point. Her parents had the best meet cute ever and she thought she was happy with her boyfriend. Except apparently he wasn’t as happy as she thought. I can’t imagine how humiliating it is to kind of breakdown at your book presentation. It actually makes Ainsley more popular! How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle has some heartwarming moments as well as laugh out loud moments.
I loved that Ainsley decided to get hands on to see if she could create her own meet cute by staging them to see if she could find inspiration for her next book. Her best friend Lucas was a great sidekick in all of this and I think he proved that love is sometimes closer than you may realize. Ainsley isn’t perfect and makes mistakes. I love that in characters. This book is a journey of finding yourself after a relationship and evaluating your look at love. All of the tropes we see in this book are so much fun and I couldn’t put How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle down. If you’re looking for a fun romance to sit with by the pool or curled up in bed, I highly recommend this one. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this author for more!
