We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is book series I want to catch up on. Isabelle decided to do this topic last week, so now it’s my turn to talk about the series I would love to catch up on. It’ll be hard to choose, because I’m working on way too many series.

Arc of a Scythe – Neal Shusterman
1/4 books read
So I actually did a reread of Scythe earlier this year to finally continue the series. I even got the short stories that belong to this series for my birthday. After the ending of Scythe, I’m surprised I haven’t continued yet.

Silver Elite – Dani Francis
1/2 books read (is a planned trilogy)
Silver Elite was everywhere when it released and I had a great time with that book. It was such a wild ride and while I did guess a couple of things near the end, I was still faced with some surprises. Broken Dove is on my shelves waiting for me to read.

Shield of Sparrows – Devney Perry
1/2 books read (is a planned trilogy)
Shield of Sparrows was a book I devoured and that ending left me impatiently waiting for the sequel. Rites of the Starling released in April and I had it pre-ordered, but I still haven’t curled up with this one. We are heading to my favorite cozy season and this could be the perfect time to catch up.

Bloodwing Academy – Briar Boleyn
2/3 books read (fourth and final book releases later this year)
I actually binged the first two books right before the third book in the Bloodwing Academy series released. The books were addicting and I became pretty invested in these characters. So why I still haven’t read the third book? No clue. I really don’t know why I’m like this, haha.

Beasts of the Briar – Elizabeth Helen
4/6 books read (seventh and final book releases in October)
Last summer I binged the first three books of Beasts of the Briar and read the fourth book as soon as it released. I even read the novella, Prince of the Arena. The fifth book, Frozen by Stardust, is already on my shelves and I keep going back and forth. Should I read the fifth and sixth book now? Or should I wait for book seven in October and the read the final three back to back? I’m still not sure.

Sparrow Falls – Catherine Cowles
2/6 books read (completed series)
Catherine Cowles knows how to balance romance and the suspense aspects in her books. She also knows how to make you love a fictional family and want every couple to get a happily ever after. The first two Sparrow Falls books were five star reads for me. Part of me wants to binge these books, but I also kind of want to savor them. You can’t get the feeling of reading them for the first time back.

Hierarchy – James Islington
1/2 books read (is a planned trilogy)
The Will of the Many is a huge book and I just couldn’t put it down! The world, the characters, the twists… everything just had me hooked. I will say it wasn’t necessarily an ending I was expecting. The Strength of the Few released last year and has received some mixed reviews. I will say I’m a reader who likes to give books a chance herself, I do plan on reading. It might be a good one to tackle during my vacation in September.

Dungeon Crawler Carl – Matt Dinniman
1/8 books read (is planned as a 10 book series I believe)
I feel like Dungeon Crawler Carl took the bookish world by storm and it’s something we see everywhere now. Even though I’m not a gamer, I still wanted to see what it’s about. The first book was so fun! I will be honest and say, I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if I hadn’t been immersive reading. The audiobooks really brings this world to life.

Zodiac Academy – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
4/9 books read (there’s a 10th book on its way and I didn’t count novellas)
Zodiac was another series I started binging and was having a great time. These books are huge though and I think that’s why I ended up putting it aside. That being said, it’s one I was really loving and I want to continue. The size of the books are just what keeps holding me back. I read bigger books easier these days, but they’re still quite the commitment.

The Crucible – Abigail Owen
1/2 books read (is a planned trilogy – book three releases in November)
The Games Gods Play was such a fun book. I love books with trials and it was interesting to see how Greek gods are incorporated into this story. I’ve had the sequel since it came out last year, so it’s time to get caught up, so I can complete the trilogy before the end of the year.
So here are ten series I’m hoping to catch up on. Have you read any of these? Or what series do you need to catch up? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
