Down the TBR Hole #178

Nothing has really changed since my last Down the TBR Hole post, so I’m starting with the same amount of books on my want to read shelf. Let’s see what progress I can make this week.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 351 (my last post ended at 343. So that’s the same amount as at the end of my last post.)

A Touch of Darkness – Scarlett St. Clair
Keep

You Can Go Your Own Way – Eric Smith
Keep

A Spindle Splintered – Alix E. Harrow
Remove

Sugar and Spite – Gail D. Villaneuva
Remove

The Nature of Witches – Rachel Griffin
Remove

That Dark Infinity – Kate Pentecost
Remove

Kind of Sort of Fine – Spencer Hall
Remove

As If on Cue – Marisa Kanter
Remove

Velvet Was the Night – Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Remove

Our Way Back to Always – Nina Moreno
Remove

Once again, a lot of these books do still appeal to me. It’s just that I really have to make choices on what to keep on this list. I’m not sure when and if I’ll get to the books I just don’t have on my shelves to stay on my radar. I honestly don’t even remember some of them. Which always seems weird to me, haha.

Removal Percentage: 80%
Current “to-read” shelf: 335

It’s always interesting to look back at the books I’ve added to my want to read shelf. Have you read any of these? Should I try and pick any of these books up soon? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
