TTT #425| Books On My Summer 2026 To-Read List

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books On My Summer 2026 To-Read List. Even though I never stick to these TBRs, they’re still a lot of fun to make. Also, at the moment these ten books are on my radar and I really do want to read them at the moment. Let’s see what I’m in the mood for at the moment.

Broken Harbor – Catherine Cowles

I’m really determined to catch up with Catherine Cowles’ backlist. The first two Sparrow Falls books have been amazing. Part of me wants to binge the rest of these, but the other part really wants to savor them. I already know that Cope and Sutton are going to have an amazing romance.

Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark – Jessa Hastings

Even though I don’t like any of the characters in the series, I’m addicted to this series. It’s like a train crash: you just can’t look away. The ending of the last Magnolia Parks book was pretty intense, so it’s time to finally see where this goes. I believe this is the last Magnolia and BJ book, but Daisy is supposed to get another one?

Rites of the Starling –  Devney Perry

I have quite a few sequels on my shelves that I’m really excited about reading. Rites of the Starling is one of them! A few of my friends said they were emotionally wrecked at the ending, so I’m nervous. I really want to see where the story goes. Before picking up Rites of the Starling I may need to find a recap for Shield of Sparrows.

Love Me Tomorrow – Emiko Jean

Our main character doesn’t believe in love, but starts receiving letters from the love of her life, but they’re from the future. I think it’ll be interesting to see her try and figure out who it is and if she starts to believe in love again.

Kiss of the Basilisk – Lindsay Straube

Kiss of the Basilisk is a book that has been on way too many of my TBRs. I don’t know why I just don’t sit down and read it. From what I understand it’s very spicy and I’m honestly not sure what to expect at all.

The Wedding People – Alison Espach

It seems that one of the characters or the main character (I’m not sure if this is dual POV) crashes a wedding. I also know that The Wedding People is darker and more emotional than many expect it to be.

Thunderhead – Neal Shusterman

Earlier this year I finally did a reread of Scythe so I could continue with the series. Thunderhead is the next book and I’m really intrigued to see how this story continues. I have a feeling a lot is about to change in this world. The author also announced a prequel series, so I need to catch up.

Lady of Darkness – Melissa K. Roehrich

Even though I’m still in the middle of so many series, I’ve been wanting to read Lady of Darkness. I know it’s pitched to fans who loved Throne of Glass and are now adults or were adults when they read that story. I believe that the author has all of her series set in the same world, so I have quite a bit to read if I love this.

Rules for the Summer – Meghan Quinn

I feel like every summer should have a Meghan Quinn rom-com. Last year I loved Till Summer Do Us Part, so I need Rules for the Summer in my life. An online engagement and failing candy store?

Wyatt – Jessica Peterson

Cash was a book that caught me by surprise and I loved every minute of it. That ending definitely was the perfect lead up to Wyatt’s book. At the time, the book wasn’t released yet. Now the whole Lucky River Ranch series is out in the world, so I want to start binging these!

So here are ten of the books on my summer 2026 reading list! I’m such a mood reader, so who knows how many I’ll actually read, haha. Have you read any of these? Or what books are on your summer TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
