We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I can’t really say I’ve done anything really exciting since my last Royal Update, haha. Our friends’ daughter came over for a bit on Saturday so her parents could celebrate her brother’s birthday. We played a couple of board games and watched movies with her. Then I had last week off of work. It decided to get warm out, so I mostly spent time at home and did lots of reading. I won’t complain about that, haha. We’re heading into a heatwave I’m not looking forward to.

Since my last Royal Update I added another 11 ARCs to my list to read and review: The River She Became (ALC), Fair Game (ALC), Beware the Abbott Boys (ALC), Light Up My Life, Falling Like Snow, Written in Starlight, This Jury Is Guilty, Kiss of the Black Flame, Thunderstruck, Swing and a Kiss, and The Minute Givers.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve finished reading: Hopeless Necromantic, Love Song, Every Borrowed Beat, Us Against You, Star Shipped, Tropesick, The Swan’s Daughter, Fallen City, Us Dark Few, The Night Bus, Lies Between Us, and Give Me More.

I’m currently reading: Start Up Hell (almost done), In Every Possible Way, and The Twelve Loves of Christmas.

Next I’m hoping to read: Rumors & Whiskey, Starsight, and Light Wielder.

When our friends’ daughter was over we watched a couple of movies with her. We watched Jumpers and it was really cute. I forget sometimes how much I love animated movies. After that we decided to watch Zootopia 2. I still love that they put in jokes for the adults that have to watch these movies with little ones.

I really wanted to watch One Tree Hill again, so I got my mom to start watching with me. We’re currently on season 2. I’m loving it just as much as the first time around. It’s interesting to see how much I don’t remember.

I’ve actually barely listened to any music this past week. Having the week off of work mostly means that I’m reading a lot (and reading along with the audiobook), so I only really listen to something when I take a shower, haha. I did enjoy this daylist.
