Bookish Item| June eARCs I Need to Read Soon

June is right around the corner! I also can’t believe I’m saying that. April kind of pushed my reading off track and May has been getting back into the groove of things. So it’s time to also trying to catch up a bit with my eARCs. I have some June 2026 releases I’m excited about. Here are the five I want to start off with. Let’s take a look!

Down with the Shipmans – Meg Mitchell Moore (June 2nd)

Family dramas are something that I’ve started to love and Down the Shipmans sounds right up my alley. Three sisters return to their childhood beach house to find out their father plans on selling it. All have their own issues and secrets on top of everything else, so it’s going to get messy!

The Heirs – Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé (June 2nd)

Since loving Ace of Spades, I’ve been wanting to read another book by this author. I even have Where Sleeping Girls Lie on my shelves, but The Heirs caught my eye. Five teen geniuses, their dead father, and a murder investigation. That sounds interesting and right up my alley.

Tropesick – Lauren Okie (June 16th)

As a romance reader, there are definitely some tropes that I love! So when I read the synopsis of Tropesick, I had a feeling it’ll be one right up my alley. Our main characters are childhood neighbors who unexpectedly reunite, after a shared tragedy, start to ghostwrite a story together. That’s when things get interesting, because tropes start playing out in real life. This sounds like such an interesting twist.

Thornbird – Elle Kennedy (June 30th)

So far I’ve only read contemporary romances written by Elle Kennedy, so it’s interesting to see that she’s written a young adult thriller. Our main character is a serial killer’s daughter who is trying to solve the crimes of her family’s twisted past. Thornbird sounds like one that’s going to keep me on the edge of my seat.

Dearly Departed – Chip Pons (June 16th)

A Hades inspired gay rom-com? That’s not something I’ve read before and it caught my attention. Our main character is Hades, who is no longer a god, but a grumpy funeral director. I can’t not read a book with that synopsis!

So these are the eARCs I want to read soon and get ahead with! Are any of these on your radar? Or are there any June releases you’d love to read early? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
