Down the TBR Hole #170

Like last time, we’re starting with the same amount of books we ended the post with. I would love to get under 400 books this time. Let’s see if I manage that!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 408 (my last post ended at 408. So that’s the same as at the end of my last post.)

This week is filled with quite a few books I haven’t thought about in quite some time. The two I kept are books I actually have. Some of the others still sound interesting to me, but I’m not sure if or when I’ll get to them.

Removal Percentage: 80%
Current “to-read” shelf: 400

We’re making progress! I’m ending the post at 400 books on my want to read shelf, so next time I’ll definitely be out of the 400s. Have you read any of these? Are there any I should still try and pick up soon? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
