WWW Wednesday #105

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

The Poet Empress – Shen Tao

The Poet Empress was an amazing debut! The world building, the magic, and the characters were so interesting. I read this book in just about one sitting. I would’ve loved a little bit more about the poetry magic, but this book still got five stars!

Adrift – Will Dean

Seeing this cover and reading the synopsis, I was expecting a thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. Reading Adrift didn’t feel like a thriller at all. The cover and marketing don’t fit the actual story. It wasn’t an easy story to read and I’m really not sure how to rate this one.

What are you currently reading?

Role Model – Rachel Reid

I normally don’t binge series, but the Game Changers series is one I just can’t put down. At the moment, I’m about 100 pages into Role Model and I actually think this may end up being my favorite book. Troy and Harris are both amazing characters. I don’t want to read this one too quickly.

What do you think you’ll read next?

A War of Wyverns – S.F. Williamson

After loving A Language of Dragons, I’m excited to read the sequel. A friend and I will actually be starting our buddy read today. I can’t wait to see how the story will play out.

Gleam – Raven Kennedy

I feel like this week is the week of sequels, haha. The first two books were so good and a pleasant surprise. Auren’s story isn’t an easy one and after some twists in Glint, I’m excited to see where this series goes. Binging this series definitely wasn’t a bad idea.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
