For me, 2026 is going to be the year I start catching up and completing series. I’ve been reading more sequels back to back and it’s been an amazing experience. So today I want to tell you about some sequels I want and need to read ASAP. Let’s take a look!
Reign – Katharine McGee
It took me way too long to read the American Royals series and I’ve been having a great time. Yeah, there’s a lot of drama, but it’s like a train wreck I can’t stop reading. The ending of book three definitely left us at an interesting plot twist, so it’s time to see how this all plays out.
Brimstone – Callie Hart
Quicksilver was quite the pleasant surprise when I read it a few months ago and I was very pleased I wouldn’t have to wait long for the release of Brimstone. This book has been out in the world for a few months now, and I need to get this read before I forget too many details. I hope that I love this. There have been some mixed reviews.
Boundless – Cynthia Hand
The Unearthly trilogy is a series that’s been on my shelves for nine years! When I read the first book late last year, I had such a good time. There really is something about YA fantasy series from the early 00s. I read Hallowed last month and I need to know how this story wraps up.
The Things Gods Break – Abigail Owen
The Games Gods Play was such a fun book! I definitely didn’t expect it to end the way it did. That being said, I really have no clue where the story will go from there. I bought The Things Gods Breaks right after it released, but I haven’t read it yet. I want to say the third book releases later this year, so I want to stay caught up.
Training the Heart – Paisley Hope
I’ve been in the mood for sports romances and cowboy romances lately, so Training the Heart needed to be bumped up the list. Seeing how I have an eARC of the next book releasing this year, I really need to get going. Even though these are interconnected standalones, I still read them in order.
