We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Once again since my last Royal Update not much has happened. We had our monthly game night with two of our friends and then our busier monthly game night last weekend. It was great seeing everyone and it’s still hard to imagine it was the last game night of 2025. Other than that I’ve been working and getting ready for the holidays. It’s Christmas in 3 days!

The eARC gods have been nice to me yet again and I’ve added quite a few to my Kindle and Netgalley app (ALCs). Since last time I was approved for: The Summer of Second Chances, Ideal Life, Full Throttle, Unfinished Business, Ancient History Between Us, Playing with Forever, The Storm (ALC), The Swan’s Daughter (ALC), Most Eligible (ALC), The Poet Empress (ALC), and This Story Might Save Your Life (ALC).

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Any Trope but You, Next Time Will Be Our Turn, Reckless, Girls Made of Snow and Glass, Merriment and Mayhem, Unearthly, Merry Christmas You Filthy Animal, Make Me a Mixtape, Definitely Maybe Not a Detective, Say It Out Loud, Grace & Henry’s Holiday Movie Marathon, and Savage Blooms.

I’m currently reading: Room to Breathe and My Blade, Your Back.

Next I plan on reading: Good Spirits, Honey Cut, and Miss Winter in the Library with a Knife.

Last week during our movie night we watched Play Date. There wasn’t much plot, but the movie was very funny. I had a great time watching it. The boyfriend and I also finally started watching the second season of Wednesday. It’s such a good show.

I’m still in full Christmas mode, so when I listen to music, it’s been nothing but Christmas music. At the moment I’ve been listening to Meghan Trainor’s album.
