TTT #410| Books On My Winter 2025-2026 to-Read List Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is books I hope Santa brings/bookish wishes. I’m not feeling that, so I’m going to do last week’s topic. Isabelle already talked about the books on her winter 2025-2026 to-read list. Now it’s my turn!

Hallowed – Cynthia Hand

Unearthly was on my shelves for almost 9 years and I finally picked it up last week. I had a great time, so I really want to continue with this series. Clara made some decisions that changed the direction of her purpose. It’s time to see what this means for her.

Fearless – Lauren Roberts

Even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of Reckless this month, I’m curious enough to want to finish this series. I’m hoping that more happens in Fearless than the second book. Fingers crossed this ends up being an enjoyable read.

Lady of Darkness – Melissa K. Roehrich

It’s safe to say that I’m in my fantasy era at the moment. Lady of Darkness is one I keep saying I’ll read, but keep pushing back. I have a feeling I’m going to love this series and they’re now all out after being traditionally published. This author’s other series set in this world is also all out now, so I want to get started.

The Strength of the Few – James Islington

The Will of the Many was the surprise of the year, so I was very excited to have the sequel release shortly after I finished. When The Strength of the Few was just out I was pretty busy, so I haven’t had time for this big book. A cold wintery day seems the perfect time to continue with this series.

A Fate Forged in Fire – Hazel McBride

Dragons are still very much in when it comes to fantasy books lately and A Fate Forged in Fire sounds like a great story. I was able to meet Hazel McBride and have my book signed last month, so that is a bit of an extra boost to get to this one sooner. I also just got approved for the eARC to the sequel of this one.

The Things Gods Break – Abigail Owen

I’m trying to be better with reading series back to back and keeping up with the ones I’m enjoying. The Games Gods Play was one I had a great time with in October. The Things Gods Break ended up being pre-ordered. So I do want to sit down with this one while the first book is still fresh in my mind.

Us Against You – Fredrik Backman

Beartown is a book I actually read a couple of years ago but still think about often. It takes place in a small town where hockey is everything. Something tragic happens and that’s obviously going to have an impact. For some reason I associate these books with a cold winter day, so it’s the perfect time to keep going. Fredrik Backman is also an author who I’ve really come to love, so I want to catch up with his backlist.

Is This a Cry for Help? – Emily Austin

This year I’m also trying to stay on top of my eARCs a bit more and Is This a Cry for Help? is one of the January releases on my Kindle. Our main character is a librarian returning to work after a mental breakdown and has to deal with quite a bit happening in the world. I have a feeling this is going to be a very emotional but great story.

My Husband’s Wife – Alice Feeney

Alice Feeney is an author I’ve come to enjoy and My Husband’s Wife is her 2026 release. I honestly don’t know too much about this book because I like going into thrillers knowing as little as possible. My Husband’s Wife has a good average rating so far and I’m hoping I’ll love it as well.

The Book of Blood and Roses – Annie Summerlee

All I needed to know about The Book of Blood and Roses is that our main character is a vampire hunter who ends up falling in love with her roommate (who just happens to be a vampire). I will say for a fantasy book it isn’t very long, but it sounds like a great time.

So here are ten books on my winter to read list! As you know I’m not good at sticking with TBRs, but I’m excited about every single one of these books. Will you be reading any of these? Or what books are on your winter reading list? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
